Holiday Update - Upcoming Stories · 6:16am Dec 15th, 2014
Dear Followers,
How ya'll doing? I know there isn't a whole lot of you, but I'm glad for those that are sticking around. So the holiday season is upon us once again. Truthfully I could do without the cold and the constant worry over gift buying. My poor bank account is getting a beating; doesn't help that no one is giving me clues on what to get them either. Hopefully the rest of you have escaped this anxiety ridden scenario, but that seems like a bad pipe dream.
Be strong. The winter can't last forever.
Enough of that, onto the main topic. What am I currently writing? Will it be any good? Will I continue The Wasteland Gospel for those that care?
My Current Work List
Ticked Feathers - Dedicated and based off of Earthsong9405 fabulous drawings, this story entails the shipping of Earl Fluttershy and the Bard Pinkie Pie! It's a lot of fluff, cute scenes, and adorableness. However it also touches lightly on depression and anxiety. Right now the first short chapter is up on my Archive of Our Own account under the same title.
Pearl Essence (Working Title) - Look, more shipping! This time we have Twilight and Rarity in a mermaid/seapony AU. I'm having a lot of fun writing this and I hope that comes through in the finished project. I wish I could say more, but I don't want to give away too much too early.
FOE: The Stable Clause (Working Title) - Last year I wrote about Jolly Joy and Rawhide, long lost friends looking for closure. In that story I also mentioned three other ponies that had been apart of their little group - The comic artist with a portfolio of propaganda, the beekeeper stinging stripes with air strikes, and the grocery store owner with a pair of tickets and too many friends. One of them will be featured in this year's holiday based tale. Who? Read and find out.
FOE: WIP - I'm still being finicky on the title. So after much thought I turned around and have invested my time into creating a whole new FOE tale to be told. Meet Rim Fire, an escaped convict who finds herself making deals, bashing heads, and taking names. When she comes to find herself as the new Sheriff of a bustling slave city, her first investigation turns out to be a doozy.
So what does this mean for The Wasteland Gospel? For now it's on hiatus. The day might come that I'll go back to it, but it seems that a lot of those ideas have already been transplanted into Rim Fire's story. What's left might not be worth reading, let alone writing.
That's how the cookie crumbles, I suppose.
With that, I wish everyone a safe and happy winter. It's not always the easiest of times, but I believe we can make it.
