Hey Folks, Cowgirl here to discuss Lilly. In a way I feel like it might be a stupid idea but really a LOT of time and effort went into My OC's looks and name.
Lilly is currently next door organizing my closet floor, and enjoying my pocket knife collection, so I doubt she will be butting in to give us her scoop on things.
My idea for Lilly came in a dream. Yes folks a dream. I was out playing with the main six when one of my friends from my Mikada Universe (Sci-fi world) popped to declare that they had found me. And if I REALLY wanted to hide in Equestria... I needed to blend in. Not stand out being a human.
Alright to the drawing board. The first thing I needed to do was come up with a name. This actually wasn't too hard. (All things considered) I am sure you have all heard of the term 'Horse Feathers.' 
Well I didn't like the way that name flowed especially for a mare. But it defiantly did fit for what I wanted from Lilly. A Mare that defies the status quo and goes above and beyond the call of duty. So I kept thinking. Another name for horse... FILLY! Unfortunately Filly Feathers sounds too much like Filly Foolers and that is one thing I did NOT want to be associated with. So after bouncing the idea around my siblings Water Jewel messed up the name and said. "Lilly" Perfect.
Lilly doesn't just stand for the flower but another nickname I am called. "the Lilting Songbird" Also it portrays her desire to be soft while still defying the rules of the world. Actually in the first draft I wrote of her I have her sitting on a cloud singing one of the Poems I put to music. 'Song at Dusk' (The newest draft does not have that song in it YET, and Lilly has been complaining so I promise that it will eventually get in there. The author is unknown.)
The next thing I needed was a cutie mark. Since I do know EXACTLY what I want to do with my life this wasn't hard. I wish to be an Equestrian Therapeutic Riding Instructor. (Mouthful I know but there you have it.) But how to portray it was a bit more difficult. You see what I used IS our mascot (Sort of kind of) For the PATH International.
Although closer to my center's. 
But I still wanted to personalize it. First of all Equestria doesn't have humans. So guess what, the rider had to go. second for me a Rainbow isn't really my thing. They are pretty and all but for me, (And Lilly) It is the STARS! Oh my the STARS! Honestly folks I go out and argue with Orion ALL THE TIME! I fantasize that one day he will step out of the sky and marry me... 
(not a crush, a fantasy) Anyways Stars have always been my thing. I don't remember a time when I haven't' LOVED stars and my family knows this. For me they represent 'one's best', 'reaching towards new limits', 'mysticalness' (Guess that's not a real word) and most importantly 'FREEDOM!'
Once I had chosen her name and cutie mark I had to decide on her tribe. After discussing it with Glitter, and taking the name int consideration, I chose the Pegasi because I am competitive, and highly emotional.
Next I had to choose her appearance. This was probably the easiest part. My favorite color is a soft pink, My second favorite color is a shiny Turquoise Blue, and (when my hair is long) I always keep it braided so it is out of my way and doesn't get tangled up in what I'm doing.
After that Crystal took over and drew up Lilly. (My user Image version) That took like three tries and a bunch of messages getting sent back and forth. Everything from hair color, design, eye color, body shape. (Which by the way is more Fleur De Lis Than what either image shows) But really that is OK. Both of them drew Lilly from the goodness of their hearts! A bit if imperfection is OK. I am 'TICKED PINK' that they have done it.
Alright I am going to gloat for a minuet about what Catstitch, (My BFF) did yesterday. She is the most wonderful best friend in the world. (Except for when we actually have to live together 24/7... It has happened after two months we are SICK of one another)
She came over, and found my bedroom floor! And my closet!!!! Between a water leak, Gaining 9 canisters of fabric and sewing supplies, my sister moving into my room with me.... and my room (Including the closet) Only being 9by 13... well it was crowded. I had a walkway from my door to my bed and that was it. She also helped me get out all my winter cloths so maybe I won't freeze anymore. THANK YOU CATSTITCH!!!! *Ducks as my BFF who hates nicknames back hands me* Yep best friend in the world.

Actually I have dreamed about talking with the Main six, Celestia, Luna... The CMC... More than once.
2629122 I've only dreamed about the Mane 6 once. It seemed very short though. I was just walking by, and they all said hello to me, but Fluttershy wouldn't speak up, so the others told her to, and she kind of whisper-shouted hello, and that was pretty much it.
2629133 Well one of my worlds that I have is called Ooladada. This is a writers realm where all of us Anka and Anku (Anka is girl writers and Anku are boy writers) meet to have fun and share ideas. The world is VAST and I so can't wait to publish the story 'Behind the Rainbow' about how I discovered the world.
But I was playing Hide and Go seek with the many different Anka and Anku that I know and well... I decided to hide in Equestria. Did you ever read 'The Magicians Nephew?' when they discover that place where there was a whole lot of puddles that lead to different worlds? That is part of Ooladada. Adventures there are always fun!

Yeah she is pretty cool. I do plan to do a post on Kat soon. But I need to get her OC done first. We have known one another for 13 years now and she is AMAZING. I might be smarter than her, but she is an OX of a girl and can do twenty things at once. It is AMAZING watching her clean or cook.
2629424 Oh my... LOL Oh I remember that season! That time in our friendship when our quarks started getting on one another's nerves and we almost stopped being friends.... I can't say we are completely past it. But we do make up faster than we did then. Normally the yelling lasts for maybe a minuet then the fight is over. We both know I'm smarter and she is stronger, so if I win it is because of wit, if she wins... it is because of stubbornness... She never wins... for long. Oh. We are basically on even footing in most arias and we boss one another about so much it makes most people CRINGE! I don't think we have used the magic words in almost seven years.
OMGSH! Why didnt you fricking tell me her body shape was supposed to be like Fleur De Lis!?
Now im thinking on REdrawing your Oc!
