    Winter storm

Any of my other southern bronies singing winter wrap up with ice in the bathtub and the oven running to try to warm the house up enough to open the door. Needless to say, looks like I get a staycation from work.

    Update Mid Crisis

It feels like every drive is Sunday at one in the morning. Kinda feels funny, eight months ago, I had only just gotten my license. Now I drive a borrowed car with a letter from work taped to my dash stating the fact I am an essential worker.

    Update (Nov 11)

Kish, it's been a long time since the last time I checked in. Haven't had much time to. But since today I don't have the response time for gaming, the mental faculties for writing... and most definitely the lung power to do anything physical... I figured I might as well catch you guys up.

In short, I'm down with the flu.

The Wind Project Part one: The Project · 4:12pm Nov 28th, 2014

I was going to just do one big post on this But after Talking to Glitter last night... we both agreed that I HAD to brake this into sections.

I, yes was the leader of the Wind Project.

This was my idea and... Kish we ROCKED it! Personally I am very disappointed for it all to be OVER! Or maybe I am glad that it is over.... I don't know. In the days before I fell and hurt my head I was doing projects like this every single month. I love throwing Thank you parties. I love bringing people together for projects. So much so that my family and friends when I would show up with my blue bag (Alright it is black and white but the inside is Blue) they would GROAN! Especially if they saw me reach for the yellow note book.

Now I had better get going on the actual project. My original idea was a mix between the big brother song where her friends are all around her singing along with, and the Pinkie smile song. And originally it was just going to be KC and I... Well if you have read her post I immedatly knew I had a problem. My idea was TOO BIG for just the two of us. Besides My ideas never include just me and my closest friends! Shoot I have ALWAYS gotten a group involved.... That is simply the way I am. After a hectic brain storm that left poor KC gasping for breath. (Sorry) And a fifteen minuet pain a chair session (Literally) to calm my brain down I sat down and summed up my idea in easier to understand words. (After appoligizing for blowing her away in my brain storm.) I don't have access to that chat because it has... slipped off the top of the page into oblivion. After I had summed it up for her I sent this to Play Blitz while she got me links to the home pages off all of the people who had ever done art for him.

I know this is a touchy subject but Crystal and I have been hatching a plan to show our support. I know You are not an artist but I still would like your help. From what I can tell you are kind of Sir Calm's Wing Pony...
Alright, Here is the plan. (Straight from the discussion)

Sir Calm is in the dumps... Friendship=magic... We as a team are going to get together and lift him up. Thanks giving is just around the corner.

Find out exactly who are his artists and contact them. Find out who is in and who is not. Then we get together say on my wall... some pony distracting Calm. (Kes or PB or SJ) And we design a image together that shows our support. Then we will graph the image and hand out assignments.

Each artist will take a piece of the puzzle to draw. Then on Thanksgiving we send them in to him one at a time by order of number (Each section will be numbered)

So what do you think? I know he likes it when we do fan art. So I hope doing a big image with each one of his artists doing a small part he'd probably like.

He responded with this

You know... hes going to cry when you do that right?

but the good kind of cry. I think its something that he needs very badly and I can say that were all honored to have friends like you all.

I'm not an artist myself BUT I can keep him distracted. I am able to keep attention away from something big.
You let me know what I need to do and what you'd like from me.

Fox, Calms main artist he uses for a majority of his illustrations, wont be able to do anything for free... BUT if you can give me what the idea you'd like for her, and try to pool funds together for it *I can get you the cost to give us a goal*

Again, you let me know the fine details, and Ill help where I can.

And we had our project. I then started sending out to the list (Plus a few more) this message.

Hi. I know I have never contacted you before. But I was hoping you would help us with a little project we are hatching to cheer up Calm Wind. I am calling all of his artists for the project so if you are interested please contact me.

(Thank you Those Kids in the corner (TKITC). You were the only one I could still find my original note)

The first one to respond back was Nobel Savage... well he was the first to turn in and do EVERYTHING. Then came Sketch, (MLPlover789) Then TKITC, and after that the rest of them just fell in.

My Griffins included (The ones who were in charge of making sure nothing got loose.)

Durp Squad; Brightonight, Majestic potato pheasant, and EchoSong

My 'Matteo' (Big griffins) Included.

Sir Calm's Posse; Play Blitz, Swift Justice, Kestrel, and Shine Struck, Now I am unsure how much any one of them did (Besides Play Blitz) Because 'Matteo' was reporting in to Play Blitz for the most part. But since the secret did not get out till we wanted it to. I'm happy.

My idea for how to name them came from "Griffin the Brush off" where Gilda pulls Pinkie aside saying "I'm watching you, Like a HAWK!" and Pinkie responds with. "Why can't you watch me like a Griffin?"

Well anyways On with it. My Artists included;

Myself, Captain Cowgirl
Commander Crystal,
LT. Commander Nobel Savage.
Sketch,
Mahogany MLP
Spectrum Destiny
Sweet Isolation
My Little XYO
And TKITC
And of course Foxenawolf (I just realized my dyslexia had flipped the word around this entire time) who did the main piece of the puzzle.

I have really enjoyed getting to know and talking with the different people. I discovered That Play Blitz has the same love for natural remedies and Proverbs that I have. I learned that Nobel Savage loves to go bowling, (Among other things), Sketch reminds me much of myself at her age! Mahogany's cutie mark means peace!

I got to see the unique styles come into play with each one of these artists. Leading this project has been one of the highlights of this year, and an experience I won't soon forget. The best part was Sir Calm's response in the end. (I know you all have wanted to know so here it goes.)

I... don't know what to say...

this is one of the most amazing things thats ever happened to me... i'm looking up the rest of the pictures now... and i already got pic from PlayBitz, ill probably color it tomorrow... but...

Oh my god you guys are gonna make me cry... you're all the best people ever.:pinkiesad2:

Mission accomplished!!! :pinkiehappy::scootangel::pinkiehappy::yay::yay::yay:

I want to thank Crystal for designing the Puzzle, taking care of it when I was away, and doing 3 Sections.

Nobel for contributing the financial needs, and helping with the leadership assignments. (Honestly Bud, I couldn't have done this without you. You took neck of the assignment and Assigned! I could NEVER have done that. I felt as though I was being pushy asking you all to do this to begin with. You really are amazing.)

And Play Blitz for being my Moral compass in this, and taking care of the main picture.

Now Monday I shall share the Leadership lessons I have learned during this project. I have a bit to do and a very busy weekend so I doubt it will happen before that.

Tuesday I plan to publish my first Fan Fic... Most Daring Pony. The first and second chapter. Chapter three is being edited and four written, and last night I drew up the outline for chapters five, six and seven so hopefully I'll get those done quick-ish... I hope this thing doesn't turn into a novel. It only has a 8 week time clock on it....

Good news is I am in my winter Vacation. So besides the whole blasted Christmas normals I have very little to do. This should give me at least some time to write. But I am not planning on any more projects any time soon.... unless it just happens... like this one did. My brain is on so WHO KNOWS!

Once again I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the 'Wind Project' And everyone who is still working on their piece. I'll see you all Monday!

IT WAS AN HONOR BEING YOUR WING PONY MADAM V!! And you are welcome for anything that i have helped in. :raritywink:

I wonder if we will ever do anything like this agian.. like you said.. WHO KNOWS!? :pinkiehappy::yay:

And thank you all agian! This definitely was an unforgettable experience!

2621260 I really appreciated your help. You guys helping really allowed me to focus on the task while keeping up with the MUST jobs.

2621259 And the WHO KNOWS stands. I currently have a LOT on my plate of things to get done. Including a new job as a house cleaner once a week. Plus my normal jobs (Which I have very much fallen behind in.) And my writing and horse study. I have to also help my mom get the Christmas presents made and wrapped and find a place in our house for a 6ft tree.... :twilightoops: I don't know why we don't get a 4ft and be done with it. We have added a play room to the living room since the last time we had that tree up. (Mom says we are going to put up that blasted tree this year...) :ajbemused: Oh well. "I'm up with the sun and down with it too, and always, forever have something to do."

2621275 Life. I need to get ready for round two of Thanksgiving. This time with the other side of the family.

2621291 What type of hair brush are you using. And put vinegar in a spry bottle and spray it down first. It works like a detanglar.

Glitter uses round brushes cuz' when she hits a tangle she can let it just roll off. Start at the very bottom and work your way up. Let it take two or three hours. It will hurt a whole lot less and you will loose a whole lot less hair.

Thats it, I need to write a blog about Project Calm Wind.

2621304 Yeah. My hair is straight and SUPER silky. It NEVER tangles. Unless I ride around with the windows down in the car. And then it get HORRABLY tangled. or I don't brush it for a week or two.

But Glitter has THICK curly, coarse hair and she has to brush it twice a day in order to get the brush through it.

2621327 I'm looking forward to it.

2621337 OWWWW!!! I did that once... I think I was six... Might not have been that old. That was not fun.

2621343 doing it right now, may take a while (not the best writer)

2621350 I need to fix lunch and clean a bathroom... Sorry to run off but I REALLY have a LOT of work to do. I LOVE to just sit here and chat but if I do Mom will block the site and I would really hate that to happen.

2621589 You guys are great! Here, Have brownie that WON'T blow up in your face! :rainbowlaugh:

2621649 Here have a basket of them, You all can share. :rainbowlaugh:

2621986 Oh you are fun!

Alight I've gotten to know Majestic, But what about you. What do you like?

My username is so long it needs to be shortened to letters. :rainbowlaugh:
And how could you not find the others original note? :rainbowderp:

2622135 Fell of the top of the page we chatted so much :rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh:

2622141 Huh, now that I think about it, we never really talked much. We only have like, 10 messages. :rainbowlaugh:

2622135 We actually shortened everyone's XYO, NS, SPC, MAH... EVERYONE got shortened during chats.

2622152 Makes sense. It's a lot easier to type a few letters than a full name.

2622150 Yep. :rainbowlaugh: Sketch was the ABSOLUTE WORST! (Sorry) The moment she got it she SWAMPED me with ideas. Eventually I figured out how to handle a Mini me and we did better. She is SO much fun to talk to. Honestly I would LOVE to just sit and chat with you and get to know you.

2622165 The only funny time came when I needed to put my siblings to bed and I said 'I need to put the Kids to bed.' and they all thought I was talking about you for a minuet!

2622168 Go ahead and ask some questions. I'm just putting the finishing touches on my project. :pinkiehappy:

2622177 I know your name is Vivian... (Yeah I glanced down through your 50 questions post) I love your Bio.... Absolutely true and one I just might steal for my next 'sayings post'... Alright Why is Testing testing 123 your favorite episode.

2622191 I thought it gave more light on Rainbow Dash's character. It showed that she was passionate about her goal, and that she isn't the best at EVERYTHING. It gave others a reason to believe that she just wasn't an Impenetrable wall.

2622191 Also thanks. I also put that on my folder in art. :pinkiecrazy:

2622226 Yeah it does do that. I like it because the writers did their homework. Glitter, my elder sister actually learns this way. If you give her a chair and make her sit still she learns and does NOTHING. but make a lot of noise and drive everyone crazy. Give her knitting or something to do with her hands and suddenly she is Twilight level brilliant.

I also think best moving. But I need sound. My head is NEVER quiet. If you want me to focus on a task you turn on the radio to something that I can move to. I am almost NOT a visual learner. I would rather watch a movie to read a book. I won't start reading about a topic unless I get interested in it.

2622261 I need both. :rainbowlaugh: I'm a tied with being a tactile leaner and a listening learner. Give me anything to wrap my hands around and one of my favorite songs playing, I'm suddenly Einstein.

2622276 Absolutely. ANYONE CAN LEARN! and you can force yourself to learn any way. Dash's mistake was she waited till the last minuet, because she thought that she COULDN'T learn. I have a fold-able ruler I fidget with while reading. Drives my family NUTS but it helps me concentrate. So i have music in the background and something in my hands to do and I am good to go. When I was little I would memorize by finding whatever it was put to music. (Now I convert it myself) then I would dance to it while I sang the words. I tell you what I STILL know what I sang. while the rest of it has slipped through the cracks. in one ear out the other.

2622735 When I read, (I was also doing this during your comment) i hum a tune scratched the letters on the back of my Kindle. Sometimes I do it with out even realizing it! :pinkiegasp:

2622788 :rainbowlaugh: The way different people learn! Oh my that will never stop fascinating me. I have always been fascinated by the way the brain works. Especially since I fell and hurt mine. Have you read this book?

2622793 Nope. I have read books that are similar to it though. Sorry it took me so long to reply. I was reading Calm's latest chapter. My school is now making us only write in cursive in English. All because on of them found a article called How Handwriting Trains The Brain.

2622831 :rainbowlaugh: Sure does. I have trained myself to write in cursive with both my right and left hands. (Though I still prefer to just use my right, I get less comments from peanut factories) Let me guess you are around 11 years old... (Just a guess)

And honestly that's alright, I'm in the middle of finishing up Chapter Four of my story "Most Daring Pony" I did publish that story once, But then pulled it out of fear and frustration. Now I have an editor and Sir Calm is helping me with it so I guess it'll be alright. *Sigh* So far I haven't had anyone tell me that they HATE it just that I have some serious grammar issues.

Comment posted by Those Kids In The Corner deleted Nov 30th, 2014

2622845 My handwriting is atrocious as well (I'm 17) I was a slow learner due to Dyslexia (Witch I salved by learing to do EVERYTING) with both hands.

And I too am working on two stories. One is about Applejack and Rainbow Dash and what happens when their Iron Pony contests go to far and they have to dare to heal... (Most Daring Pony) I am going for them both to end up being 'worst patients ever!' :rainbowlaugh:

And the second is Lilly's story. Kind of a spoof on my life but still very different. I am changing my family structure a LOT, having her go to a special school for gifted Pegasus, (I've been home-schooled) and what not.

Honestly, Viv, (Can I call you Viv? It is easier than TKITC, or how I spell it when I'm rushing TKINTHCO) Learning to print is very important. Cursive is our deceptive language. It shows off our style and way of life. But Print is universal. This is so they can understand what it was that you just said.

2622853 Sure you can call me Viv. I actually haven't been called that in awhile. I usually go by my nickname, Colors. (I always wear colorful clothing and mismatched ankle socks.) Sometimes, I can't even read my handwriting. I actually made my own written language because of it. It's easier for me to write the letters. I have taught it to a few friends and we think it is hilarious when others try to comprehend it. I always write notes on my History teachers tests because he grades them in class. Therefore, he sees the note and squints at it. I think its awesome.

2622853 Two of my stories is based off of my favorite show, Psych. I really need to update one today. :twilightoops: one is already completed. The other, well, I don't know if I want to continue it. It isn't based off of anything, and I really don't know if it is worth continuing. The one I haven't posted is just a one shot inspired from Princess Celestia hates tea. You can only guess what she doesn't like this time. :pinkiecrazy:

2622858 Colors! I LOVE IT! I have an Aunt named Viv... (I was half named after her) so... I think Colors would be better.

Kish! that sounds like Glitter! I am very much a preppy kid. But Glitter and I do have our own language. We even have a verbal one that we use. (Two actually one that I wrote, one she wrote... Ok three or four she wrote)

I swear if she is wearing socks the DON"T MATCH! *Panic attack!* I have kind of gotten used to it. But I would never do it myself. I like order and percision. I wear three colors and that is it. Pink, Blue, and Brown. (Sometimes others but I have to be out of my other shirts to do that) Always a pair of bluejeans. Then either a white or brown vest. I am SO predictable.

Glitter's and mine language is a mix of boats, animals, trees, arrows... and a few other things (I can read it. Rarely do I write it.)

2622861 I plan to read them. I have NO idea what Physh is so that gives me NO clues. But I will let you know what I think once I do. I am almost done with another story right now then I'll get to those. Do you have any advice on which one I should start with?

2622863 I've thought about making a verbal language, but I haven't gotten around to it. We actually have a V tradition in our family, (on the girls side so far) Vickie, Victoria, Valerie, and Vivian. If I ever have a daughter, I will name her Vanessa.

2622866 Well, The Tip isn't completed, but Undercover Dates comes after it... I would go with Undercover Dates. It has the best ratings so far.

2622869 I'm Vannan, It means hopeful, Springlike, and Grace (LaVannan My 'royal' name for our 'royal games)

2622873 Haha, my name means full of life. Frankly, I think people get annoyed with me because of it. I'm too... Twistery sometimes :trollestia:

2622870 Later books usually do. Oh man the first thing I wrote at age ten... That was BAD! But a whole lot of fun. Only my family read it. Then at age 15 I wrote a 50,000 word novel about a Star Ship, two lost boys... four lost boys. (Elm, Oak, Jack (Reminds me of Kes), and Tom (Reminds me of Sir. Calm).) That book has turned into a 14 novel series including back history (As in 6,000 years) and Future stories about Elm's wife. Kwren Eaglewing. Who becomes the Captain of that star ship and Elm becomes her first officer but I still don't know WHO is captain and WHO is the first officer. They work like one.

2622873 On an unrelated note, you got me in the mood to draw. Can I draw your oc?

2622874 :rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh: Hey just be yourself. Who cares what others think... Unless you are being mean just to be mean. But your style is you! Not everyone can think in a box some of us need a chimney.
