This one is a bit tragic and was written shortly after the death of one of my minders. Nurse Jorden Ortega who was stabbed to death by one of the other patients during a psychotic break. So here's to you Sister! May you find peace in eternity!
Ever lonely do I stand where we first met. Begging you softly to come back from the depts. The place so far away yet close today. Now we the forgotten begin to pray. Begin the song we've all heard for so long. And never mind the fallen throngs. For now you are amongst the angels. So beautiful and bright. And no more must you fight the fight, I bid good bye to you this day. But my life shall never be the same.
Good Bye My Friend.
I know it's incredibly short however that's all I could recover because the rest was too damaged by tears. So sorry for its length.
I'm sorry for your loss. Losing someone that you care about is never easy. This makes me think about when I lost my Me-maw (great-grandmother). She had lived a long full life and everyone knew her time was coming, but that didn't soften the blow when it finally came. I was maybe 13 at the time and it didn't really sink in that she was gone until we buried her. I'm sure that Nurse Jorden Ortega and my Me-maw are in a better place. The best thing we could ever do for them is to remember them and keep their memories alive within ourselves.
Beautiful.
