Changing Story Descriptions · 9:28pm Nov 16th, 2014
Have anyone who has written a longer piece on Fimfiction.net ever had to change the description for your story because it began to develop in a different direction while you were writing it? I began “Tirek’s Shadow” with one image in mind, but then other angles and possibilities emerged while actually putting it together. In other words, I’ve had to change both the genre classifications, description, and even image used for the tale. Whew!
Stories are fun like that, though. ^_^
I've never writen anything ove 3,000 words, so no.
But I do have a long story I have been planning out. The title I am still debating on, but I think it will be something like Fallout Equestria: The Mirror of Hope.
2599185 Awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing that when you start posting chapters from that story.
Fascinating! It sounds like you are boldly exploring the unknown, and you are keeping your story's metadata up to date. That sounds like a great policy to me.
So far all the stories I've ever posted were only added to this site after they were fully completed. This, of course, solves the problem, but it's not very practical for long stories.
I say just keep on at it! Let the story grow how it wishes to grow. You never know how things might turn out!
2602265 Thanks! Actually, their unpredictability is one reason I enjoy working on longer projects. You can start out with a single direction, only to have that develop and evolve in interesting ways. In some ways, it's almost like being your own audience. Ha.
