Noi & Bloo's Journey · 3:58am Nov 9th, 2014
You know, I was reading this thread earlier, where palelordhiphis had this whole chart with each step of a hero's journey, and for a story of x words, about how many words each step should be.
I was looking at it, and one of the spots broke it down for a 100 word story, with 5 words for this step, 8 for that, 13 for the other one, and such. At first I was wondering how you could even do that. Then I realised it sounded like fun.
So here's a short (100 word!) story, with each step being exactly that many words. I posted it in the thread, too, but I though the story I ended up with was fun, and it's not enough words to put up as an actual story...
If it seems like it could use more description an' such, it's 'cause of the limited number of words. You might like it anyway, tho'.

Noi was an ordinary filly.
"Let's go on an adventure!"
"No, Bloo, I'm kinda busy."
"You must," Twilight Sparkle said.
"Okay!" The two left together.
"Oh, no, I forgot my math homework!" Noi said.
"I got it."
"Yay!"
"Is that a cave ahead?"
"Lets explore!"
They bravely went on inside.
"Roar!!!" a dragon bellowed from the cave. Noi poked it with a stick.
Lots of shiny objects surrounded the unconscious dragon. They both filled their saddlebags.
The two fillies quickly headed back to Ponyville.
"Your homework's due!" They handed it to Cheerilee.
Getting home, they divided their loot.
The End.
Well, they say that brevity is the soul of wit.
Three-word review: Works for me.

Yeah. Kinda wish it was a little more detailed, but getting every section exactly the number of words it was supposed to be was tricky enough that I didn't want to mess it up.

Alright. Noi an' Bloo kinda need more stories, don't they?
I sorta like how the climax of the heroes epic quest here is that the dragon goes Rar, an' they poke it with a stick. Isn't that about how most epic fantasy battles go, anyway?

There are lots of fillies who need more love, really.
Effectively, yes.
