Doom Patrol, giving up my sanity for a fic's sake.

Okay, okay. With a wham tittle like that one you may suspect that some serious sh*t is going on. Remember when Doom Patrol went to 'development hell'?

Possible reader's reaction: Oh crap.

Don't worry, is nothing like that, almost. Well, do you remember that six months hiatus? And I how commented having four rewrites before coming up with the Royal Flush Gang's arc? Let me give you a flashback:

The second was a more psychological approach about the CMC's having nightmares involving their new powers, it included Applebloom being overwhelmed by the changeling instincts and forgetting her life as a pony, Sweetie Belle outliving everybody and loosing her emotions acting more like a machine and Scootaloo loosing all control on her powers and destroying everything on eyesight. It became too depressive too fast so I trashed it as soon as I finished the first draft.

Now, with that in mind, and with the new arc being called 'A Midwinter's Nightmare' I'll let you connect the dots.

Yep, I'm revisiting one of my darkest moments as writer. My intention this time is to revert the original idea and give it a different approach. But the thing is that I'm not sure of how. So, if you want to advert another massive hiatus, you can do one of two thing (or both if that's okay with you):
Comment on the chapter Doom Patrol #4. The first night since it has the bases for the next ones.
Review the Origins arc (What in Equestria just happened?, Secret Origins and Anatomy Lesson) so I can tell what works and what doesn't from the original concept.
Preread the next chapter by sending me a PM, to avoid further screw ups.
