Was expecting something light and fun given the plot summary. Got a intensely sad and emotional moment instead. Really, really well written look at mortality and loyalty and preception. Incredible short story, but I was not expecting it. Very, very sad. If you’ve ever lost a pet you cared about you’ll want to brace yourself before reading this.

Not entirely sure about the Dr Who reference. Was well done, for a Dr Who spoof, but it really clashed with the MLP thematic stuff I felt. One of the things I enjoy is that MLP is actually not that random. It all flows together with a surprising sense of coherency. Dr Who is more just madcap zaniness. Just made things feel less pony. Other than that is was decent. Some good jokes, like Spike looking things up in a dictionary during a conversation, but overall the story was fairly forgettable. Did get all the characters very well. This could easily be a episode of the show, feel-wise.

A story told through a handful of snapshot scenes spread out over many years. I think one of the reasons I’ve been liking My Little Pony fan fiction so much is the variety in storytelling techniques. Most mainstream fiction, even the self-published stuff I’ve been grabbing on my kindle, has gotten fairly bland and monotone in style. The MLP fanfics are all over the place. Story told entirely through letters, first person, third person, story told through implication in a handful of spread out scenes like this one, all sorts of things.
As to this story, it was very sweet and subtle. Not exactly a character study, but a wonderful look at one possible way Rarity’s life might turn out.

Decent story. Some interesting bits, some of it was more than a little over the top, but was worth a read. Not planning on ever going back to re-read it, and nothing really that cool worldbuilding.

This one was much too short. It clocked in at merely a 1k words long, I believe. This really could have been much longer and gone into depth on the subject, but very interesting with just the little scrap we get. Another snapshot of Celestia being immortal, this time from Rarity’s perspective and about something most ponies outside of the royal court would consider fairly trivial.

If you know of a text-format reviewer I'm not keeping track of, please let me know and I'll see if they meet the criteria to be assimilated into the list.
If you are an author who wants a more detailed review of a story I've covered feel free to message me. My reviews tend to be fairly light, mostly just reactions to a story right after reading it. I am happy to give a more careful read and reply to anyone who wants more precision and/or feedback.
