This Night Aria-Should it be Continued? · 8:36pm Oct 30th, 2014
This is something that's been brought up frequently with this story with others claiming it to feel 'unfinished' and wondering why it only has a single chapter.
It was specifically written for One-Shotober 2014, which is a contest I participated in last year, when I felt like I wasn't really contributing anything to the site and a time where smaller ideas are encouraged.
The story was written to focus on Aria because of the lack of content featuring her specifically and the fact that nobody else seemed to care about any of the Dazzlings except for Sonata and her taco memes, so I wrote it in part so the character would have something focusing on her.
As for the idea itself, it was admittedly experimental and I didn't really have any ideas or intention to make it longer than it was-this was also partially due to the fact that in the future complaints could be levied at how it doesn't fit in Equestria Girls canon when 'Equestria Girls 3' or the spin-off's spin-off 'Equestria Academy' eventually come out it and if the Dazzlings are portrayed as completely different or never mentioned again, I'll risk getting complaints about that from people who don't bother looking at the date the story was originally published.
Which has happened to me before with quite a vitriolic comment from a reader.
Then there's the fact that if I do expand upon the concept, I'm not entirely sure how I would have everything play out (though, I do have a few ideas).
If you guys really want me to, I'll write it-I just wanted to let you know that the reason I have so much trepidation about returning to this story.
So let me know if you guys still really want it or if you think it's already a trite, cliche', train wreck of a story well-deserving of a thumbs-down-if it's the former I'll remove it from One-Shotober 2014 and request whoever added it to Short Stories to have it removed and get to work on the next chapter. If it's the latter, I'll just leave it as is.
I really think you should continue it, unless you just don't think it's worth it.
I thought it was really well done, and so long as you could come up with an endgame for it,
would stay just as good if expanded upon.

I really don't think it is, it's already in a queue to be torn apart of another user's review for shitty One-Shotober stories-so I don't have much hope for expanding it into anything of the same or better quality.
Even if I take it down and re-write the whole thing, it'll probably just turn out even worse and I don't think I'll be able to turn it into anything decent-since it would all just probably fall apart in the second chapter without a real ending planned.
If I keep it the same, people who feel like it's unfinished are going to be angry with me, but if I change it, people may not like what the story has become and get angry with me-it's a no-win situation, that's why I'm asking everyone's opinion on what I should do with it.
