Apparently I only write Blogs when I'm upset and want someone to hear me out. That's slightly depressing.
I'm pretty upset right now, so If you don't want to read rants, you should probably stop here. I don't get upset very easily, but if you want to tick me off, there's one surefire way to do it: refuse to listen to me.
There's a reason I hate comment deletion. It is not only a refusal to read what I wrote, but also prevents other people from reading what I wrote. I understand comment deletion is necessary for things considered offensive, or illegal, but when my reasonable comment is deleted simply because the deleter didn't like what I said, that makes me angry. It's part of the reason I was banned a little while ago: I made alternate accounts to avoid someone blocking me for what I thought was a ridiculous reason.
But I'm no fool. Getting banned once (twice actually, but they were back to back for pretty much the same thing) was enough. Which is why when an admin in a certain ironically titled group began deleting my comments, I left. Voluntarily. There was no point in being in a group made up mostly of people who didn't like me, with an admin who thought I was a troll and refused to discuss anything with me. So I left.
But what is really sad, is that a user I had never met before sent me a Private Message saying they had been banned from that Group (We'll call it GROUP) on their first day, because the Admin (We'll call them ADMIN) believed them to be an alternate account of mine. Why would I join a group I left voluntarily (With some rather choice words, too)? Why go to the trouble? Now other users are suffering because of me, and ADMIN not listening to people.
So, Why did my comments in the forum of GROUP get deleted, you ask? What did I say? Well, besides discussing the topic of the forum, I got into some side arguments. ADMIN accused me of baiting, so I returned to the topic at hand. This however, was still considered baiting, and pointing out that a person I was replying to was calling me an idiot when I was not resorting to personal attacks was considered baiting in order to claim a moral highground. I politely asked ADMIN in what way I was baiting, so that I may not do it in the future, but he refused to explain and simply told me to stop. So I gave some examples of what I considered baiting: All the generally offensive comments, personal attacks on another user, and even a case of bringing Politics into a non-political discussion through insulting a President, that users on the forum had made. I used only examples of people in the forum who had not been replying to me, lest their comments be considered a reaction to mine.
ADMIN deleted the comment, and unhelpfully informed me that viewpoints counter to my own were allowed (A fact I was very aware of by this point, since only one other commenter held my view point, while about a dozen other users disagreed with me). I commented I was leaving GROUP, since they were obviously biased and intolerant of my opinion. That comment was deleted too, and after I left, ADMIN locked the topic (Why? I had already said I had left!).
And then I get informed that users are getting banned because ADMIN thinks I'm ban-dodging. Great.
sorry to hear that...sound like you hand some troubles but im glad you back, i had sort-of the same problem with alt accounts awhile back...

Thanks for your support, and thanks for the fave on The Nightfall Chronicles! I think I'll focus on my stories now, since obviously online discussion has not gone well for me.

Hey, I warned everyone at the beginning of the blog that this was an angry rant.

*Is?
I'm not sure what you are trying to say...
2589578 Well, is it still an angry rant?

I suppose it is... but it really isn't, because I'm not angry any more. It's really like a time capsule of an angry rant.
