The Scare Master using the Magic Of Friendship
"I'm glad you got me to be a scare master one more time~" Fluttershy said, trying to be heard over the laughter and snickering of her friends. She turned to Discord. "I hope you didn't mind."

New Twitter Art

The artwork is based around Twitters layout

The artwork we had for Twitter was pretty old, still portraying the group as it used to be. It was time for something new.

There are a few things we put into this new piece. First of all, we used the mascot rather than team members. The team changes a lot these days due to recruiting and people coming and going in and out of hiatus and whatnot. The mascot is pretty constant.

The mascot is a steampunk android which allows for great variety that still makes sense. In this case we gave her a pegasus skin in the colors of Twitters icon/theme. We opted for a pegasus since Twitter uses a bird for the logo. The mane is shaped like two Twitter birds rotated and partially overlapping. Some of the skin is left out in parts to show the mascot is mechanical underneath. It's also resting its elbows on the group avatar. Well, so as long as Twitter keeps the layout the same.

The background of the image is the same as our website, with orange borders at the top and bottom, which again relate to Twitters layout. The big empty space to the right has been filled with our group logo, which seemed to be the most sensible at this time.

The Story Lineup
We have a few stories on public display that we're working on. The full list is tucked away on our google drive. The characters involved in these stories are very diverse. Sometimes it's about the mane six, sometimes it's about the princesses, etc.

The current list, from short stories to longer stories, is as follows:

The Circle of Friends by Honey_Habanero
Growth by Lime Attack
Having a Ball by Cereal Velocity
Silver Spoon vs Breakfast by Your Antagonist
Rise of The Moon by comicfan616
The Living is Easy by The Decendant
The Hoofwitch Horror by roygbiv
Heretical Fictions by Skywriter
White Box by The Maverick
Fluttershy's Infernal Adventure by butterscotchsundae
The Glass Blower by Cold in Gardez
Witch of the Westmareland by Colour Coded Chaos
The Fires of Friendship by Ponydora Prancypants
Beloved by Skywriter
Lady Prismia and the Princess Goddess by Skywriter
Gobbling and other Traditional Pursuits by LadyMoondancer
The Greatest Day of her Life by mannulus
A Wake of Mist and Flame by Heliopause
The Silent Shore by The Decendant

All stories we do will end up having the lines marked in a color for each character, each of which will be listed at the top. That way, our voice actors and actresses can easily spot it and have the full context of the story to interpret the lines. This is particularly important when there's dramatic buildups across several paragraphs.

Progress wise, art is going great because we have a few dedicated artists and recruiting a few more. Voice progress however is slow, mostly due to the current VAs being pre-occupied by college work and such.

New recruits
Over the past 10 days or so we've been recruiting a lot, mostly on Deviant Art. We offered interesting artists a position on the team and a portfolio on the site. Everyone was really eager about it, which is great news!

They've all got applicant accounts with us now, meaning they're doing their best to impress us with recent work, to see if they fit in with the current level of skills within the group. Once the team agrees to bring them on, they'll have full accounts with us and they'll show up on the front page. Until then, no spoilers ;)

Next up we'll be looking into finding more voice actors for the team, as they are fairly hard to find outside of the VAA. If anyone has tips regarding this, let us know! We'll be interested to learn where we can find more voice actors.

Animation Research and Worldbuilding
There has been talk among us for a while that we'll be making our own animation shortly. Over the past week I set up the documentation for this project on google drive and boy, there's still so much work to be done. The project I've released is the worldbuilding project. The purpose being that we'll get a feel for the era the animation is set in. There's a lot of research to be done that affects the day to day lives of people and other characters in our to-be stories like technology, language and social matters just to name a few.

After this research we'll be able to develop our fictional characters and settings and such and write a few stories we'll publish on the site. Though we've got a few ideas in this regard, we still need to adjust them to the era.

After the whole world-building is done, we'll start on actual episodes. Each episode will be listed as it's own project so you can easily estimate how long it'll take until the next episode is released. Over time we've collected quite a few ideas for episodes and gags and such, so that's not much of an issue there. We do however still need to determine the format and such.

Are we going to stick to standards like 13-ish minutes or 22-ish minutes, 13, 26 or 52 episodes or will we do our own thing? Will it be a series or are the episodes all stand-alone? These questions will probably be discussed as soon as we have an idea about the content of the episodes themselves.
