The Scare Master

The Scare Master using the Magic Of Friendship
"I'm glad you got me to be a scare master one more time~" Fluttershy said, trying to be heard over the laughter and snickering of her friends. She turned to Discord. "I hope you didn't mind."

"Fluttershy, when you can startle the king of pranksters," Discord said, "you are a true scare master." He turned to Rarity "Your costumes were pretty convincing too, Rarity."

"Fluttershy came up with the idea." She cooed. "And thank you darling."

"The spell we used was a simple bubble spell I taught Rarity just for tonight." Twilight said gleefully "I was a little worried at first but since we're all friends it felt only right to involve you too."

Discord smiled at that. He hadn't thought of it that way. In a way it had only added to his fright in the moment. After all, he had been caught with no one to turn to or to help him for miles around. It was reassuring to think his friends would come to rescue him would there ever be the need.

Pinkie Pie had settled her laughter enough to speak up. "And next year" she began, wrapping her arm around Discord, "you get to scare us." She winked.

"Ooh well, I'm not sure I can beat the scare master herself after this" he smiled at Fluttershy, "But I'll be sure to give it a try."

Rainbow Dash flew up to his face, offering a challenge "Just so you know, nothing has ever scared me." Applejack scoffed "Well, on nightmare night anyway."

Applejack rolled her eyes at her friends brawn before turning to Discord "Ah'll be looking forward to it."

News

Editors

The editor who recently joined the team got a social life with a little help from our group, which is awesome! It also means he'll not be able to help us out as much. Fortunately we found an additional editor. Or rather, he found us. We'll be talking for a bit to see if he'd like to join the team and help us out. It's been fun thus far so we're looking forward to our collaboration.

Readings

The Circle Of Friends is going to be epic since Dimondium, an epic composer and friend of our group, offered to do the background music to that story. All that's needed for this story is for the artwork and editing to be completed. Then it's up for music and video composing and it's done.

Never So Far Away requires a bit more effort, most of which is in the audio editing. We need bird sounds to be remixed into something that sounds like Philomena speaking. We got some hints from blog posts by the guys who did the dinosaur noises in Jurassic Park, which helped out greatly. So it'll be a bit longer but it'll be pretty sweet.

Personal note

I'm currently going through a job application procedure to become an international IT consultant. I'm super excited but it'll mean I'll not have as much time for the group any more. Conversely I'll be able to attend conventions and such and maybe upgrade the website. That'd be neat.

I've also been tempted to do art commissions and sell MLP fan merchandise like buttons and posters and such. Let me know if you'd like that~
