Story Name Changed... Again. Also, Questions... · 3:22pm Oct 10th, 2014
Hello, everypony.
So, if y'all haven't noticed by now, "Dashie's Heat?" Has had its name changed to "The Apple of Dashie's Eye". I've got a reason for this, hear me out!
Back when I put up the first chapter of this story, it had a completely different tone. Clop for the sake of clop with no plot, just clop. It's changed a bit, I'd like to think, and I want to get away from the whole "heat" concept. I might write a story about it, but that's not this story anymore.
Don't get me wrong, The Apple of Dashie's Eye will still have clop in it, I love writing clop. But it will no longer be the main focus of the story.
Now, I have a question for y'all. What should the overall tone of the story be? Because I have two main ideas. Should it be comedy with some sad moments, or sad with comedic elements? I just want to know what tag to put up on the main page for the story.
Here's my reasoning... This story (being one of guilt and missed opportunities) will have sad moments in it, as all stories based off of such things are bound to. However, anything I write naturally has comedic undertones to it, because I like writing light and happy things (Chapter 3 - Morning at Sweet Apple Acres). So, which should I focus more on, the comedy or the tear-jerking feels?
