I don't know if anyone had ever attempted this but when I first thought of writing a story I had a continuous return to an idea of a human arriving in Equestria from Narnia. I am a fan of C.S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia series and I had always thought that if a human were to arrive in Equestria then what would be an appropriate background for him in order for him to adjust to his new surroundings easier? Narnia was always at the top of the list. In a world where every living being had a voice, especially trees, then being stranded in a world ruled by talking ponies would probably be easy to comprehend. The more I thought of it the more appropriate it seemed. Starting with food, being born and raised as a Narnian human being denied red meat would not be hard since I would expect Narnian humans to adopt a vegetarian like diet. When one lives in a world where say a cow would talk with you about your problems and tell you if you're being too rough when milking, I would be hesitant to the idea of eating it. The Second reason is the familiarity that the human may have when interacting with Equestria. Thinking back to both worlds they both have a large share in creature diversity, although Equestria lacks some humanoid creatures such as centaurs, fauns, and dryads, the human would already be prepared on what "unusual" creatures he may come across. Third the interaction between the human and the ponies. I had already established that the human would be comfortable with dealing with talking ponies, heck I even thought of a scene where a pony asked him if he is freaked out about ponies talking and he replies that his best friend was a talking rat and he never kept his mouth shut. So when the human ever holds a conversation with the ponies, it would be expected of him to be comfortable as Narnian ponies would have been able to talk as well. A fourth reason that this crossover may make a good story was the technology different between the two worlds. As I recall in comparison Equestria is more advanced with electricity and steam power and industry, but still not too far that it would be overwhelming for a Narnian who's main lifestyle is more medieval like with a coexistence with nature. So if a Narnian human arrived in Equestria the only thing that may come across as strange is the means of travel and living while everything else may be similar to what he is use to.
To whoever may be reading this what are your thoughts? Can a good story come from a crossover of MLP and Narnia? If so who would be the best pony to be his guide? Should he become a permanent resident or should he be only visiting?
Good thing.
I think that it can turn into a good story if there are enough people who likes narnia.
For the guide, you can pick. .. everypony. Really. It's all about how YOU see the guide. If you think it should be a smart one, pick Twilight. If it should be a funny one, pick Pinkie. Or if you want to be random, pick fleur de lis. Pick one you feel the most comfortable with.
Visiting. He should only visit... After that, you can write a sequel, and then he can get stuck. But leaving Equestria should be painful and emotional. Which creates so much drama and tears. If you can bring it in a good way.
You wasted Enough time to read this. Go on and write some awesome
But they eat meat in Narnia.
