Yeah. Haven´t written a word in two days. Seems that summer, swimming and videogames take up too much time and creativity. Especially when i´m into those super-long 4X games. Even a quickie in Warlock, Sins of a Solar Empire or Civilization take AGES! How am I supposed to get anything done? DAMN YOU game developers who make me play your silly games that take ages! How am I supposed to be A TRULY MAGNIFICENT ARTIST while you´re around. Now I also understand why people are sometimes called "hunter artists" or somesuch. They can´t afford to do anything, even eat, so they have lots of free time to do...something...artsy. An stuff.
Also it´s 1AM here and I should have been in bed ages ago. Somehow I just wanted to complain about gaming. And...erm...
Anyone ever read the Metabaron comics? They had this idea that if you dedicate your whole life to just mindlessly consuming and gratifying yourself with entertainment, especially games and movies, you´ll fall into something called Necro-Dream. It´s a state in which your mind becomes apathetic as your body slowly wilts away. Even if people close to you tried to get in touch with you, you´d be unresponsive and even violent.
This of course was a universe where people could just jack into cyberspace and spend their whole lives there. But...isn´t that where we´re headed now?
