Chapter rewrite · 2:36am Jun 11th, 2012
I had this one in the bag. Seriously, it was coming along great. I had it up over 10k words, and all of them, I thought, were pretty good. Or, at least, acceptable.
I went into my final re-reading/editing session yesterday thinking that I might even post it early. It was as I was reading through it that I realized that, no, what I wrote was actually pretty danged boring. Not horribly written, just... dull. Bogged down. Bloated.
I'm basically re-writing from scratch right now, and I'm back up to about 6k words, but I'm not at the place where I need this chapter to end, yet. With that in mind, I'm going to take an extra couple of days to finish the re-write and then go over it and polish it before publishing.
Sorry about that... It wasn't what I had planned. Also, this shouldn't delay next week's chapter, which I'd already gotten started on when I thought this one was mostly "finished" on Friday.

Ha, did that with some programming recently. Wake up the next working, and my thoughts are, wtf was I thinking. Here is my recommendation:
Make it more exciting by killing off rainbow dash!
