How Twilight won the equestria games, and other stuff coming soon · 6:22am Aug 26th, 2014
Hello followers and friends
So I was just randomly thinking about ponies (don't we all) when I kinda came up with this theory.
Think about it, Ponyville won because they got exactly one more medal, which is supposed to be the silver that Dash's team won right? Now think about this, the Ponyville team wouldn't have even qualified if not for Dash, BUT if you remember in that episode when Dash had to chose between Ponyville or Wonderbolts and she chose hospital bed. Next we see that Dash seem perfectly content to lay around Fluttershy, Derpy (best cameo ever) and Bulk (I think that's his name) get creamed. Then Twilight talks to Dash and says how choosing not to choose isn't choosing (heh) and this leaves Dash feeling shitty so then she's all 'guess I should what I should of done in the first f*cking place and be loyal to my friends, and of course that episode is written off as Dash's 'element test' episode that become important later but really Dash wouldn't have done anything if not for Twilight.
So you know what, nice job Twilight, this is why you deserve to be princess, because you kick ass all round. Side note Twilight isn't my favourite pony and I don't hate Dash (love her in fact) just in case this blog misleads you.
Another side note, I'll be posting another blog later today, that one will be about 6 Shades of Rainbow news, as well as a bit of a 'behind the scenes' look at 6 Shades, showing you all how things have changed from my initial thoughts for the story.

Twilight did not win the Equestria games any more than Rainbow Dash's mom did.
Or any other character that was in anyway responsible in some part for the members of the winning teams.

2403400 Difference is, all Rainbow's mum did was exist, Twilight had direct impact on the events, this also shows that Twilight had even more of an impact on the finale too, because if not for Twilight, Dash wouldn't have gotten her key, so once again Twilight does everything
It's like, damn Twilight how about you let somepony else do something huh? I personally would love to the other 5 defeat a villain without her, or just Applejack, cause Applejack rules all 
And before you say it, NO I do not count Sombra as a victory without Twilight because Twilight still did all the work, all the girls did was stand around, and all Spike did was run a bit, heck Cadence probably did more

Find RD's dad, Have an awesome filly, raise said filly with a 'live your dreams' attitude.
Also, for all we know Bonbon encouraged Lyra to be part of the Unicorn Trivia event, where she won a medal for knowing what hands are.
So would Bonbon be responsible for the Ponyville win?
2403956 Ah but we don't know how much Dash's mom really did, most people like Dash generally grow up with a distant mother relationship, for all we know she may not have even been around, I choose to believe she had a good relationship with her father who taught her to fly and got her into all that. In any case I still wouldn't count their existence and (possible) raising of Dash, as an equal amount of impact as Twilight directly talking to Dash about a situation that directly effects a lot of future events
Difference with the Lyrabon situation, we actually know that Twilight did her part, and I know you're probably gonna say that we don't know exactly what Dash's parents did (with regards to what's said above) but like I said in any case, Twilight did more
and why wouldn't Lyra enter any way? It's not like she's shy, and if she did have the knowledge I'd bet she'd enter, though that's going back into the theoretical

Even if you deny RD the credit of winning her own event, and give it to Twi for telling RD to make a choice, that leaves 36 medals. Every single one of those is 'the winning medal' just as much as RD's is.
So that's at least 36 other ponies that 'won' the Equestria games for Ponyville.

2404089 true but I'm just saying the games could not be won without Twilight, no matter what happened in the earlier episodes the other ponies would come in, win their medals, then the games would ultimately ride on the final race for the true 'winning medal', now if Twilight didn't do what she did, Ponyville wouldn't even be in the race and even if they were they wouldn't stand a chance. So really, Twilight won the games, indirectly yes, but directly enough that it's worth mentioning.
In any case, I really didn't like the equestrian games episode, it had build up to it, and I was bumped to RD and FS do some stuff as well as seen a few other ponies in events, did Applejack enter an event? If not then that's very surprise, and another thing that disappoints me about that episode other than the wasted opportunity

So anyhow. No. 'No matter what happened' would include any of those other winning ponies to decide not to participate for whatever reason, or to not train/try as hard as they did.
Just because RD's medal was the last one does not make it more significant than the others.

By 'no matter what happened' I was referring to the mane 6, of course if something happened to a background pony it would change things but in regards to the mane 6, no matter what happened the other ponies would still do what they do but Ponyville wouldn't have won. I see what your saying with 'all the medals are winning medals', but when two teams are even with one event to go, that basically makes that medal 'the winning medal' because it was the deciding medal.
