    Funeral is done

OK everyone, we made it back home from the funeral and everything's done.
For those of you wondering, yes, I am okay.

But as the saying goes, when it rains it pours.
My mother passed out right before we left.
She was fine, at least initially.

    Started a poll

Hey, al, been a while since I've posted anything on here. Just thought I'd let you know that I'm still here. I'm currently writing a couple of crossover stories with Amphibia and Owl House on FF and it's taking up most of my time. If you've seen the length of my Kamen Rider Unicorn series then you know it's a project.

Entities of the Emotional Spectrum Headcanon and Explanations. · 9:24pm Aug 25th, 2014

•Mortal Form:
◦When in this form (pony or otherwise), the Entities can utilize their specific light to create attack and defense constructs. However, they’re construct creations are limited due to the fact that they are cosmic beings, and therefore have never needed to imagine or create constructs before, so their imagination as far as this ability is concerned is limited to simple creations, such as swords, shields, chains, catapults, walls, and can also fly through the use of that light. It should be noted that while I use the term “mortal” their strength, endurance, speed, and health is on the level of a demi-god.

•True Form:
◦As it states, this is when the Entities have forgone their mortal shells and can tap into the full power of their light. While in this form, they are unable to harmed, they can take damage and feel pain, but they cannot be killed. It should be noted that while in their true forms, the Entities cannot create constructs, offensive, defensive, or even miscellaneous constructs.Their power is more blunt, they can use beams and shields, and can even use the abilities of their light.

◾Adara: Healing, miracles, and Willpower synergy.

◾Butcher: Napalm blood breath.

◾Proselyte: Emotional Spectrum cycling, healing.

◾Predator: Sapphire Tethers, and sapphire crystal creation and manipulation.

◾Ophidian: Identity Theft (aka stealing of a victim’s personality post-mortem and copying that into an independent Avarice construct), as well as absorbing the other four lights and the ability to absorb magic.

•Possession/Unification:
◦Now here is where it gets a little skewed. From reading the “Green Lantern: Blackest Night” I remember seeing Nekron repeatedly strike the Life Entity with his scythe and not doing anything to combat him. However, when Carrol Ferris (Earth’s Star Sapphire) asks why, to which Hal Jordan responds “The Entity is just like Ion or Parallax, it needs a pilot!" And by “pilot” a person or sentient life form that could play host to the Entity. This lead me to view the hosting of Entities in two ways.

Possession
•When an Entity, such as Parallax, Ophidian, Proselyte, Predator, or Butcher, enters a host body, their thoughts and actions are driven by that Entity’s power.

• In the case of Parallax, Hal Jordan, Kyle Rayner, and even the Flash were driven by Parallax himself, using them as a suit to move about in. It is not until Parallax is expelled that the host returns to normal.

•Proselyte was infused into an ambulance EMT named Shane Thompson by the Indigo Tribe. Before somebody says “IndigoTribe Members are all sociopathic serial killers under their ring’s control”, let me first off say that is true and I’m not arguing that fact. However, it has been shown that those possessing genuine compassion can obtain the ring and not be controlled by it (ie the Atom). However, while Shane Thompson did possess true compassion, he was still forced to be a host, while this action saved his life, it also had the same effect as if he were being controlled by a ring.

•Predator (spoilers)

Unification
•I consider this different from Possession, where the host barely or doesn’t even have a say in being a host, unification is much different. As with Ion and Adara, the host were willing to accept the power of their respective hosts.

◦Ion has been unified with two Green Lanterns in the past, Kyle Rayner and after him, Sodam Yat. Both were able to work with Ion to use their united power to battle against the enemies of Green Lantern Corps and numerous other villains.

◦Adara has had only one host in the past. Her name was Michelle Morrison of Earth, while held captive by a psycho, she never lost faith that she would escape him, she even pitied her captor, saying that she would “pray for him”. Right as he had cornered her, Adara appeared to Michelle and the two united together. Throughout their brief time, Michelle showed that while a host, she was still in full control of herself. Even if she adopted the more cheery, optimistic personality of the Blue Lanterns.

◦Parallax has also managed a unification during the Wrath of the First Lantern story arc in the Green Lantern comics, when Sinestro called upon Parallax and merged with him. Unlike before, Parallax did not corrupt or attempt to control his host, Sinestro was in full control of Parallax’s power. So, for however long that partnership lasts, I count this as Unification.

◦Another difference is in the power that they wield. In an earlier chapter, I stated the following: The Entities’ power is comparable to a club, a blunt instrument good for smashing and destroying whatever was in your path. But while in a host, that power is honed and sharpened, becoming more akin to a sword, which is more versatile, stronger, and deadlier.

Just thought I share some information with you guys before the next chapter gets posted, in case anyone was confused as to my logic behind the Entities powers and abilities.

First off, let me say that it would be helpful if the paragraphs didn't break apart when you're writing them. it's pretty jarring to see a paragraph start, and then jump a line.

Second, i think you forgot Proselyte's teleporting abilities. That's pretty important.

Just one thing that I think needs to be addressed:

While in this form, they are unable to harmed, they can take damage and feel pain, but they cannot be killed.

As of Lights Out, we know that this is not true: Seven of the entities (Parallax was trapped with Sinestro) ended up sacrificing themselves to refill the emotional reservoir (Kyle Rayner explicitly stated that they were dead). Indeed, during the events that lead to this, they began to starve, which left them visibly sick.

Come to think of it, the existence of the reservoir brings up a couple of questions that I feel need to be addressed: Are the entities still using the reservoir of their native universe, or have they begun to use the reservoir of Equestria's universe? Has anyone (or anypony) ever tapped into this universe's reservoir already? How will the ponies react when they realize the entities are, as Relic so eloquently put it, "Agents of Decay"? And, perhaps most importantly, could it be that the Entity realized that their home universe's reservoir was already dangerously low? Could it be that sending his children to another universe was his way of saving them from oblivion?

2400969 Yeah, I honestly hated that part of Light's Out. And besides, the only reason they were dying was because the "Well of Light" or Reservoir had run low, otherwise they would've kept on living.

Also, my story takes place after "Green Lantern: The End" and what I believe happened after that, since we are given glimpse into the future, I'm going off of that.

And I will fix this, that damn preview looked alright but apparently it was lying to me. :twilightangry2:

Edit: Fixed

2401019 Well, it was probably just a glimpse of what could have been, rather than what will be. Remember that storylines are constantly evolving, especially in comic book stories. And we've seen plenty of future timelines in comics that have been disproved by new storylines.

And I have faith in your ability as a writer to create an awesome story

2401081 Thank you, I appreciate that.
