Background Story: Glitter Gust was born in Manehatten. Her parents were upper middle class, and they were always trying to gain favor with those above them. Her parents were constantly trying to turn her into a refined pony; but Glitter Gust, ever the free spirit, resisted their efforts. They constantly bickered back and forth until eventually she had enough and ran away from home. Her parents, terrified that their rebellious daughter would cost them in the eyes of their peers, made up the lie that they had sent their daughter to boarding school. Meanwhile, Glitter Gust was forced to live on the streets, stealing food to survive. It was on the streets that she learned of her innate ability in pegasus magic. She used her abilities to her advantage, eventually becoming a thief of some renown. Her parents eventually found out, and scared that their lie would be found out, hired ponies to get rid of her. But these ponies were no match for her, as her pegasus magic had grown powerful over time. Confident in her talents, she began to steal things more valuable then food. Glitter Gust went a step too far, however, when she stole the Tempest Band; a legendary ancient artifact that could supposedly greatly amplify a pegasus's magical ability. It had been safely stored in the Manehatten Museum, but for a thief of Glitter Gust's ability, stealing it had been too easy. But what she didn't know is that over time the enchantments on the band had grown unpredictable and uncontrollable; when she tried to use the band, the wild bursts of magic it gave off summoned a tornado. She desperately rushed to stop the twister and barely succeeded, saving the lives of many. Her act of bravery was not unnoticed, and soon the street was flooded with guards wondering what the heck was going on. Glitter Gust was forced to leave the city to remain out of the hooves of the city guard. She escaped into the forest, where she found a large gathering of ponies. After asking about, she found the two unicorn leaders of the group and asked them what such a large gathering of ponies was doing in the forest. They told her that they had gathered together to protect Equestria. Not having anywhere else to go, she joined them.

Powers: Glitter Gust is a prodigy in pegasus magic. She can summon forth small tornadoes, bolts of lightning, thick fogs, and driving gales. Her magic reserves are unusually high, and she can keep casting spells long after other ponies have run out of magic. Glitter Gust is a master thief, and can be very stealthy when she needs to. She is very agile in the air, able to quickly weave and dodge on a dime; and is as quick on the ground as she is in the air.

Weaknesses: She doesn't have very much stamina, and flying for long periods of time is beyond her ability. Glitter Gust is just a filly, so she isn't very strong physically. She wears her shades all the time; naturally this restricts her vision at night. She can't step hoof in Manehatten ever again, or else she'll be arrested by the guards.

Personality: She is very temperamental, one minute bright and bubbly; the next dark and brooding. Even so, she quickly makes friends with others, and she will often go out of her way to help her friends. She is mischievous, and has a dark sense of humor. She can be stubborn at times, and is prone to acting impudent when she doesn't get her way.
