Dear Readers,
I have a firm set of ideas for the next few sequels. I have had ample time to take in all the feedback, both negative and positive, and am able to start working on the next story. The protagonist this time will read Carbon Copy's letter and challenge his ideas on the "new changeling way."
For example, who is to decide who is a good or bad pony? Who is beyond repair and who isn't? This new protagonist believes that Carbon Copy should have helped the stallion overcome his addiction instead of simply killing him. Murder is murder, and no one deserves to have their life stolen like that. The protagonist will reject Carbon's methods, and present another, parallel approach which will be more humane and kinder. The next stories after that will have the protagonist changeling trying to determine which path to follow.
A special note: If a guard found the stallion strung out on illegal narcotics instead of Carbon Copy, he could face a very long time in prison. Just having that much heroin on you is enough to do that, not to mention beating his wife (According to U.S Law anyway.) In a sense, Carbon Copy was doing justice; but, it was definitely cold-hearted. The sequel will explore that.
Any suggestions on this are gladly appreciated.

I think that's a really cool concept. To let the future changelings decide which route they should take and to figure which ponies redeemable and which not. It will be pretty interesting to see which changeling decides what he or she should do. Since now they are no longer a hive mind, They can make their own decisions on a situation. Looking forward to the future stories!
I also think carbons starvation had a part in the decision he made to kill the heroin addict pony. You are right, murder is murder, but yet when you're desperate you're desperate.

I have to agree with carbon. or rather take a midpoint. some ponies are past help-drugged dad - and needed to be dealt with. though the new guy seems alright. let's see how people take the help from changelings. also, I hope this isn't the last sighting of carbon.
