State of the ship/update · 8:13pm Aug 9th, 2014
Hello, everyone! Well, first thing I'd like to do is apologise for a couple things: first, for taking so bloody long between chapters and for not keeping you all in the loop. Second, and this weighs most heavily on me, I just couldn't get the chapter finished before I head to the desert for three weeks and then PAX Prime after that. To all of you that have been patiently waiting for me to finally update, I really am sorry and I hope you'll forgive me. The chapter is about two thirds complete, but between my creative muse just not cooperating and my ridiculous schedule, I just couldn't get it done.
As to why I've been neglecting my story and all of you wonderful people, since the beginning of May I've been working for my National Guard unit, which is about 270 miles from where I live, and due to the tempo I've only been home about four days a month since, which has left me with very little time and energy to write. Anyway, in a few hours I'll be hopping on my tank and heading out into the middle of the desert for about three weeks, so I won't be able to get anything written, at least digitally, until early September. However, in whatever down time I get I will try to get the last 2,000-3,000 words hand written so that when I get back from PAX Prime on September 2nd I just have to type it up and have my editors give it a once over. Once this month is over, my schedule will become MUCH more normal and I'll have more time to devote to writing. Once I get this chapter written and posted, I'm going to work on doing some revising and small changes on the first four chapters, hopefully bringing them closer to the quality of the last chapter and (I hope) this next chapter.
Anyway, tl;dr I'm sorry, I suck and have failed you all and I should have time and be back in top writing form after the 1st of September. Cheers to all of you lovely people.
No worries! Take your time. I'm syre every one of use is more than willing to wait, I am no stranger to life coming out of nowhere and stealing all my writing time. Believe it or not, I actually spent some time working on my latest fic in the middle of this comment... that is how little time I have, gotta strike while the iron is hot, as it were. So yeah, be sure to drink plenty of water.
Indeed, good things come to those that wait. Plus I am not gonna whine at you for serving your country(If U.S.A *hold hat over heart* Thank you).
Don't apologize for not updating. Any reasonable person on this site, myself included, understand that the authors here have lives outside of this site, and life comes first. So no worries, I don't mind waiting and I'm sure your other followers don't either.

I'm glad you posted this. I'm sure everyone understands that all authors have a life outside of fimfiction.

2357747 You know that explains your psuedonym very well... your handle... pen name... the name you use on this site. Irish, because of your heritage and Tiger, because Tiger was a variety of tank. Or I might have made a jump there... still if it is how I thought it is kind of clever... so good job on that.
