Monochromation

Your average, everyday idiot with an academic vocabulary. I'm still trying to work out whether or not that's a good combination. I occasionally write things.

    Post-Hiatus Rejuvination

I'm not dead! For a couple weeks there I had myself worried, but I think somebody at DHX brought me a defibrillator.

On the Subject of my Newly Released Story

So, Sunday morning afternoon, I wake up. I'm tired, hungry, bored, all of these lovely adjectives generally associated with waking up. So, I get myself some breakfast, hop on the computer, and open up FiMfic to read some horsewords and wake myself up right.

    Europe update: Paris

I'd like to note before starting that the French town of Bayeux seems to be completely devoid of useable public Wi-Fi. That is really the only explanation I have concerning my silence during the last few days, despite my promise to keep regular updates on my trip through Europe.

    England Day 3

It's been a right long time since I last posted a blog post, an even longer time since I posted anything but empty promises for stories that never came. I decided that I oughtn't just ramble on about just anything, so I just didn't blog.

I've found something to blog about.

    Well, I have snippets!

So, I was reading Undead Equestria and a thought hit me: so far the story has been mostly confined to the southern and eastern regions of Equestria. What's going on out west of Canterlot? Maybe this'll be covered later in the story, but I figured I'd write myself a little story just for the heck of it. Good practice and good fun.

Europe update: Paris · 6:21pm Jul 31st, 2014

I'd like to note before starting that the French town of Bayeux seems to be completely devoid of useable public Wi-Fi. That is really the only explanation I have concerning my silence during the last few days, despite my promise to keep regular updates on my trip through Europe.

Normandy is a beautiful region of France. I mean, there is such incredible natural beauty there that I just cannot describe properly. The American cemetery at Normandy is really very impressive, albeit in a sobering way. We stayed in the medieval city of Bayeux, which contains a wealth of museums and incredible architecture. One of the most notable examples is the huge cathedral right in the centre of the city. I also got to see the famous Bayeux tapestry, detailing the Norman invasion of England, led by William the Conqueror.

We then took several trains to Paris. The city is marvelous. I really can't think of anything else to call it... except maybe crowded. Marvelous and crowded.

I have more to say, but we're leaving to eat right now. I will continue after we return.
