A few progress updates and a book recommendation

I've been a bit distracted and busy the last few weekends, but have made progress on the next Chapter of the Moon story. It's sitting at 5,000 words, with a good deal left to go though. Hopefully I can really dig into it this weekend and have it ready for the week after. It's been a weird few weeks for me. A family emergency demanded a 4,500 mile road trip, which actually ended up becoming a fairly fun family vacation. Luckily I have a very forgiving boss, and plenty of comp time saved up. So, I saw a few parts of the country I've never seen before, including the Grand Canyon, Mt. Ranier, and the Columbia River Gorge.

It's been a weird few weeks for me. A family emergency demanded a 4,500 mile road trip, which actually ended up becoming a fairly fun family vacation. Luckily I have a very forgiving boss, and plenty of comp time saved up. So, I saw a few parts of the country I've never seen before, including the Grand Canyon, Mt. Ranier, and the Columbia River Gorge.

So no, my absence from posting hasn't been due to any sort of writer's block or lack of motivation. I'll get back into the groove of things this week and have a new chapter of TMHaHM ready to post this weekend. Really, when you're driving through the length of Idaho in the dark and don't dare turn on the radio for fear of waking the other passengers, you have plenty of time to think and plan. I've got some great ideas for my Road Not Taken second story, along with a few other interesting ideas for the future.
