“For over a decade, Blink-182 has toured, recorded and promoted nonstop all while trying to balance relationships with family and friends. To that end, the band has decided to go on an indefinite hiatus to spend some time enjoying the fruits of their labors with loved ones,” a statement from the band’s management read. “While there is no set plan for the band to begin working together again, no one knows what tomorrow may bring.”
"Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing. We've gotten to go places we never knew we would. We've been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible. We've shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends. And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end. Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure.

Do the math.
I'll see you all when the sun goes black.

Keep dreaming, it's not happening.
They're completely different people, Gerard has stated CONSTANTLY that it is a break-up, not a hiatus, and they've all gone and started new projects. Gerard wanted MCR not to become stale. He wanted to end it while it was still golden. He did a good, if painful, thing.
Don't live in the past. Enjoy the new stuff. Gerard has a solo record coming out in the fall.
