    Decibels With Dollars #43

It's been a rough year my friends, haven't been able to be around much to write or, do pretty much anything that we wanted to accomplish this last year.

That being said, I suddenly find myself with a wee bit of free time and, I've just discovered something the likes of which always helps me get back in the mood to write...

    It's only been three years...

So, I figured that was long enough...

Actually it was supposed to publish the day before Christmas but... Clearly that didn't happen either...

Just to clarify, this post is to let everyone know that Dollars finally posted another chapter of Infinity's End after like three friggin years of basically being unavailable. Emotionally or literally, same difference.

    Homecoming

"So Dollars, you get to be home for Christmas this year, any plans?"

Looks up from the word document currently open on his rather dusty old computer with a thoughtful look.

    "Yeah, a few..."

Jake is in a lot of pain. · 9:45pm Jun 30th, 2014

For those of you out of the loop with Jake's (Conrad's) medical condition, I recently had to get a fasciotomy done on both sides of both of my legs. I had really bad compartment syndrome in every chamber of my legs below the knees. The optimal pressure in the legs is 15mmHg, my legs were at 40mmHg just resting. After exercise they had jumped clear over 50mmHg. So basically my legs were like over inflated balloons minus the swelling. I had the surgery on Friday and have been stuck in bed since then. Between the awful pain and the powerful painkillers, my mind has been well below 100%. While I have plenty of time to work on my story right now, I also forget which way is left and which way is right... I'll make an effort to get some progress since the corps gave me some convalescent leave. But no promises. Stay awesome followers!

The rest of this stuff might bother some viewers so discretion is advised.

Finally got to take a shower and remove my bandages today.

Had some really concerning swelling and bruising going on, on my right leg. Went to the doc to get it checked out. He told me it was all normal and actually looked really good. Only concerning thing was the lack of flexibility in my right ankle due to tension from my right calf. Took the bandages off and saw that I was still bleeding! I got cut open on Friday and I’m still bleeding today.

Kinda nasty part! Don't read if medical stuff makes you squeamish!

Doc said when he cut the membrane open in my legs the muscles literally popped out, so he could tell it was a huge relief of pressure for my body. Still put a nasty picture in my head. He also told me that bruising could be so severe that my feet could turn purple and it would be normal…

Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks, my left leg is already feeling pretty good. Doc said I just need to work on getting the right one to move around. Almost feels like the muscles has been clamped and can't stretch out though. :/

I know how that feels.
It's pretty uncomfortable.

Yeah I started to freak out when my knee and thigh swelled up too and the doc just told me it was because I had kept my leg elevated and the blood ran up my leg instead of down into my foot.

Here's hoping your recovery is as speedy as a sombrero-wearing mouse! Hope you're feeling better soon, amigo. Stay awesome! :rainbowkiss:

P.S. I've been working an awful lot lately, but I've got a bunch of days off this week so I'm gonna make some headway on the next chapter of 'JAWS.' :pinkiehappy:

2247300 About bloody time! I also expect a very bloody time. ~Dollars. :twistnerd:

Holy shitsu! Here's to a fast recovery:rainbowdetermined2:
