The conversion bureau is one of the most divisive sub-genres on fimfiction. personally I think that that is kind of silly, I mean there are way worse fanfictions some of which shall not be named because i'm trying to pretend they don't exist. the TCB universe itself is....okay. some authors did really well with it, you know who you are. and some authors were....not the best. I won't name names because its kind of subjective for me. there are fics that I though were terrible that people loved.
then there is the anti-TCB, and to be honest most of those fics suck. they could be summed up with one or two sentences. "ponies think we are evil? well lets blow them up and prove them right!" now honestly I don't care if you like this universe or not, but please don't attack me for my opinion.
Hit the nail on the head, I'd say. Good on you for standing up for your convictions.

2270075 honestly i just want to be able to write without having to worry about being ripped to shreds by trolls. I'm not the bravest person and my writing is not the best, and I hear horror stories about the cruelty of the internet. at the same time I do want to be a part, do you know what i mean?

Read Grayscale. That's a good TCB story that sees the conversion as something that's not good without devolving into pony hate.
