Wow. That's cool. I don't know what to say, except thank you to those who have liked my work and want to watch out for more. It means a lot.
So I do have an announcement for ER250. I've been working on three chapters at the same time. Most of them already had the major components established since about Chapter 2. This story is a lot bigger than originally planned, and I had a idea of events I wanted to have happen and had drafted them. So Chapter's 9 and 10 are mostly together, just under some revision and modifications to adjust for the newer stuff in the story. Those chapters are going to be deeper, really firmly establishing what's going on between Equestria and the Empire, and really showing you what's going to be happening next.
There is one problem though. Notice I mentioned Chapter 9 and 10, but what about 8?
Well I'm having a problem with it, namely the fight scene. I have never underestimated the difficulty of making something make sense until now. I have six tabs open right now, learning on how to make a fight scene work. Including an interview with R.A. Salvatore, who is credited with being the master at fight scenes.
so what's my problem? Getting the flow right - correct words, pacing, and descriptions to make what's in my head work on paper. Because I know what I want to happen, just not how to make it happen. I want you as the reader to be on the edge of your seat, and feeling every blow that will be taking place.
So I'm going to take things nice and slow and get them right. At the end, at least three chapters will be uploaded. Not at once though, weekly. Like last time-ish.
If you got any ideas, places to look and learn how to write a fight scene out correctly, or even MLP story examples of fights, it would be greatly appreciated.
So for Empress Rarity, that's it... for now.
I've got some editing that needs to happen. I've just completed my 15th editing story, Farewell by joeSFX. A sad story about Celestia passing away and Luna taking over ruling. It was interesting to do because I think it was the first story that I've edited for that didn't use dialogue. He has a great idea and might pursue a sequel to it. Shoots and Roots was reviewed by EQD and deemed to be worth of a re-edit job, which is being provided. Hopefully the second time works great, Bachiavellian wrote a fantastic story and it would be wonderful to see him get in for it. I've had One Last Crusade's third chapter for way too long, and it needs a good look through so Tidal can update his story. Finally in my list is the fourth chapter for Princess Twilight Sparkle's 25th Birthday. Which sounds like this is going to be quite the "d'aww" chapter.
Ugh. Like I needed to be reminded of all the guide tabs I have open. And all the other irrelevant tabs that I don't close for some reason. Life gets depressing when it's trashy like that.
Sounds like you're right busy! Don't forget about school and relaxation in all that mess! Also, I'm happy to help with chapter 8, 9, 10, 11, 31, 68, whatever, just send it over the wall.
