While I don't doubt that your computer was fucked, people vastly overestimate the problem, and often get a new computer and throw out the old one when it would have been a 10 minute fix. Again, I'm not saying that's what you did, but every time I hear those words, I think of all the perfectly good computers people throw away while I'm stuck here with my old, cheapo netbook that has trouble accessing the internet.
I should start a 'computer recycling' company. I could already see the shit people would dump on me.
2228444 I'm actually not throwing my old one out, I'm giving it to my sister! It's just REALLY slow and it takes FOREVER to connect it to the Internet... But she doesn't need to know that! I actually got my new one for my birthday (June 9th), and I'm happy since I've had my old one for... too long. But don't worry, neither computer will go to waste!

Yes, but what I'm saying is that most of the time it's not slow because of hardware issues, it's slow due to software issues. A lot of those 'slow' computers could be back up to speed fairly quickly. Of course, the other 90% really is fucktardedly slow, but you gotta be looking for those diamonds among the dirt. Again, not accusing you of anything.
