So I recently got a load more free time so I decided to pick up some of my old Yugioh cards as a precursor to getting back into Magic. I was introduced to both games by my elder brother and we would play together and he would always win... did I have a point? I'm pretty sure that anecdote was supposed to have a point. Anyway, I played Friday Night Magic and booster draft and prereleases and sealed and all kinds of stuff in Magic but my schedule got really bogged down and I had to put that on hold. My Yugioh cards I haven't played in years but I thought that since I admittedly care about the game less I should try playing some of that to get back into the strategic mindset of playing and deckbuilding. Being a bit short on ideas, I decided to go with a staple of mine when I played it before so I built a warrior deck heavy on equip spell cards and power frames (me gusta) as well as my only Armed Samurai Ben Kei as my replacement Blaster Blade (let me know if you get it; I fell lonely sometimes). The deck performed a lot more smoothly when I removed the six Swamp/Lava Battleguards (but I love them!) and my three Cyber Ogres (you're no fun at all). When I finally get back on the Magic horse towards the pro tour (you know it!) I plan to start small and just edit some of the decks I already have (should I add blue to my black/green graveyard manipulator?). In closing, this blog has no practical point; I just felt like sharing it with ya'll and hopefully hearing something back from that humongous pit of darkness known as the internet.
PS.
I read through the entire archive of El Goonish Shive and I highly reccomend it to anyone who wants to check it out. It's a primarily comedic webcomic and I enjoyed reading every second of it.
Goodbye for now!
