I know that most of y'all are here to read about my summer plans that I have for all. But first I would like to thank y'all for the 300 likes, 350+ favorites, and 31 followers!
Well everyone, I'm kinda excited for what I'm about to tell. I've been having these two great stories floating around in my head for sometime now ever since I talked about it a long time ago. (I can't actually remember if I said it or not but bare with me) I will only be doing one of them. The reason is because that would mean that I would have to write for three stories; I really don't want to do that. I know that I can handle two stories, because I'll make Lonesome my main objective while the other story would be a side project to help get my creative juices flowing if I'm having trouble with Lonesome.
Now, let me give you a little bit of info on the stories...
First one is called "Far From Cydonia".
It's about a EDF soldier who is the combat medic for his squad. Him and his squad (with a few others) are sent to the region of Cydonia of Mars to locate a secretive prototype space vessel that had been stolen by insurrectionists that the EDF are struggling to eradicate. After a series of very unfortunate events, the medic must struggle for his life and freedom on a unknown world. His only hope is the ship's black box, which is the only way his allies can find him.
Far From Cydonia will be roughly around 50,000 words long; nothing too long or too short, perfect for the type of story that I'm aiming at. I already have a beginning, middle, and end planed out for the story. Each chapter will be about 5,000 to 6,000 words long.
Second story is "Road to Revolution".
The human race has had enough of Equestria and its population. The humans look up to their leader whom they call the Everlasting Emperor; who will lead them against their pony aggressors. Throughout the years, the Everlasting Emperor and a few key figures must strategically execute their plan for kindling the flames for the human revolution. It would be long and tedious, but they know that their plan would work. The ponies who think that they are the superior species are unaware of the uprising that would shake Equestria to its core.
Road to Revolution will start with the human race appearing on the coast of the continent that Equestria resides on. As the story progresses, it'll show interesting/ key points to how the revolt starts. One part of the story that I will tell you is that the humans were given the chance to start colonizing the land that they showed up on in the name of the Equestrian Kingdom; and they took that offer, unknowing that it would be a key advantage in the future.
Well, I really hope that y'all like my proposal. I'll leave a comment in the comment section for y'all to vote for what story you'd most likely want to read. Over time, I might give out more information as votes go up.

does road to revolution have a main character or does it just talk about historic battles and diplomacy between the two races

Road to Revolution's main character is the Emperor. Everything in the beginning will lead up to the rebellion. Think of the events as flashbacks as the emperor is about to initiate the rebellion.
Road to Revolution looks good, I always enjoy a communist or impreal like revolution.
I think option 1 sounds interesting.
