That dandelion sandwiches taste good?
Seriously!
Let me explain. As you guys know, I have a lot of health problems. One such being Gout and Rheumatoid Arthritis.
My mother, being the big worry wart she is, decided to look into some natural cures and remedies for these two things. I was reading through the paperwork that she found when I came across something interesting. Apparently dandelions are high in vitamin A and C, can repair damaged tissue, and help the liver clear toxins out of the blood. It does a lot more stuff but that is the jest of it.
Anyway, I decided to try this out, being a brony and all, why not try a pony snack in real life?
I felt odd at first making a dandelion sandwich, thinking, I can't believe I'm about to eat some flowers. But, to be honest, the sandwhich wasn't that bad. I added some honey to it, and although the texture wasn't much to be desired. The taste was very pleasant.
I've been eating them for several days now and I already feel a little better and can move a little easier. My hands actually feel a little better too. So if you guys get the chance, make a dandelion sandwhich. they aren't half bad.
i had one before. couldnt taste it though with all the HOTSAUCE i put on it. but i heard that a part of it was poisonous..think it was the stem or something...
yea, the petals are the only thing you should eat. And, hotsauce? Really? lol you sound like Pinkie
Well, I might try it myself in light of this. I've had a dandelion salad before, but never a sandwich. Where did you get them from, wild or plant pots?
So you just pluck the petals off the flower and slap it on bread and that's it? I might try this.
2153843 I actually got some from a whole foods store when I was out of town the other day. I purchased some seeds and are growing some now though.
2153882 yea, the center is sweeter due to the pollen. Make sure to read up on it though
