Memorial Day and a Short Story · 2:22am May 27th, 2014
I know many of you are waiting for the release of new chapters and announcements of the next Skyfall story. I apologize for the delay on them; I've been out of the country for a little bit. But now that I am home, and home on Memorial Day, it's time for this military author to pay his respects to the dearly departed of those brave men and women who gave their lives in service. Many of you know that I have tremendous amounts of respect for all those who take up the uniform and oath to defend their country, but those that hold to their oath to their final breath are the ones I want to honor. Those soldiers that fight and die to protect their brothers and sisters in arms, to defend their homeland, whatever the case may be. Today is their day. Let us honor them.
To all my followers who are active personnel in the military, I also want to take a moment to extend another thank you and my respects to you all as well. Your courage and duty inspires my work and my pride.
I'd also like to give you all a little light reading. For Memorial Day, I usually do a little something. This year, I spent the day whipping up a short story I hope you'll all like. I'll attach the link below this.
Thank you all for reading. Give honor and respect today. I'll be back soon with plenty of updates.
With friendship and magic (and somber respect),

Thanks for the little short story.
I myself have been watching "Death and the Civil War: American Experience." It's about the treatment of the fallen during and after the war. It was the Civil War where we, as a nation, began to realize that we need to care for the fallen. Hadn't realized that Memorial Day originates from that war.
Take care of yourself DQ.
Looking forward to seeing what's next,
~Treil
That was damn beautiful. Thank you, brother.

Fun little fact: while I also learned about it through CoD4, the clock tower in Credenhill is actually a real memorial to the fallen men of the SAS, and the inspiration for the Lunar Guard memorial.
