So, I'm a pretty big fan of Fallout: Equestria. Have been for a long time. I read the big ones, The original, Pink eyes, Heroes, and of course Project Horizons. But I'll admit, I'd fallen behind on keeping up with PH. So, I've been trying to catch up. I just read chapter 47, (well, reread, as I remembered halfway through it I had actually already read the next four chapters) and came to a startling and soul-crushing realization. If you've read the story, you know who Doof is. His story is a terrible ordeal, his end is tragic, his life is twisted by the off-handed machinations of ponies that do it for little more reason than he's easily manipulated.
But he's an OC, so I had no previous investment in the character. His story was terrible, but everyone's story is terrible in PH. Then I read the scene in chapter 47 where it describes them joining the army. They describe him, and his cutie mark. And suddenly...
THIS is Doof? THIS colt? This cute, smiling little butterball? God ****ing dammit Somber. Can you twist the knife any harder? Can the events that involve him and Twist be any more screwed up and unfair? Apparently yes, considering their childhood together. Remember this?
Yeah Tootsie, I know how you feel. If it's any consolation, It doesn't end well.
So, now that you've suffered through my weird little rant, on to news about my stories.
Suffice it to say I'll spare yall my incessant whining and say I work too much and have had writers block, but have actually recently had time to write most of the next chapter of Despondence, as well as a oneshot that has nothing to do with anything. I know it's been so long you all probably don't care anymore, but I thought I'd toss it out there. Expect both some time before June 1st. Sorry for being a suck-butt author.
You shouldn't beat yourself up over how quickly you update. I know it means little, but people have spent far longer working on far worse.
And if I can say it without getting kicked out of the fandom, I have never read anything about Fallout: Equestria. The most exposure I've had to it was in one of AntonyC's videos. I don't even know the premise, other than that it's either a crossover with, or is based upon, the fallout universe.
