The Alternate Ending Where DT Becomes An Alicorn and Twist and the CMC Put A Stop To The Dictatorship · 1:03am May 20th, 2014
Diamond Tiara seethed with anger when looking upon the new rulers of Equestria. Princess Sweetie, Princess Bloom, Princess Twist, and Princess Scootaloo waved down upon their ponies, promising a life free of bullies and full of peppermint twists for everyone. The ponies down below them cheer loudly. Diamond Tiara can only scoff. The monster they defeated wasn’t a monster, she knew. They were more than that. If it wasn’t for that ‘monster’ then they would all have been controlled by that terrible minotaur Tirek. If it wasn’t for her, the Diamond in the Tiara, they would all most likely have been dead right not.
I mean, that was Tirek’s plan after destroying Equestria right? Death was only the next step up, or at least sending everypony to Tartarus for the crime of being born a pony. Diamond Tiara wouldn’t have killed anypony. True, during her reign as an all-powered alicorn princess she hadn’t been the kindest ruler, but what did they expect from her? She kept order, that’s all it was. And harmony was basically keeping order, right? She was only doing what the previous princesses had already done.
Silver Spoon was in the audience cheering too. She had been on Diamond Tiara’s side when she’d first received the powers. When Tirek had come to take Diamond Tiara’s non-existent earth pony strength he had been shocked to discover she hadn’t any. Well, what use did she have for strength? Everypony had always done everything for her anyway. Not only hadn’t Tirek expected her to be unaffected by his abilities, he also hadn’t expected how quick and belittling her tongue could be. Within seconds she had ripped him apart, made him feel so worthless, that the next step simply had to be that the power would transfer from him to her. After all, once the power felt the weaknesses inside him it would go to the strongest pony nearby. Everypony else was nowhere near as strong as Diamond Tiara at that moment. She was the best.
And for a while she had all of the powers of every alicorn, Pegasus, earth pony and unicorn under her control. She was the biggest and the best—and was still as quick and belittling with her tongue as ever. She had lived the lap of luxury with Silver Spoon as her servant in Canterlot Castle. Everypony had bowed down to her, and begged for just a small portion of their magic to be returned to them so they could work. She might’ve given it to them too, as long as they behaved and did as she told. Even the great and mighty Twilight Sparkle had come to her to beg her to release the former princesses from their prison. She said she’d get round to it when she wanted to; she wasn’t a monster, but she wasn’t going to work to other pony’s schedules.
Their smug faces up on that pedestal, Diamond Tiara grumbled to herself. Don’t they just think they’re the best with their alicorn powers. When I had them I used them wisely. I used them to teach ponies lessons—like how small my carrots must be cut, and the best way of fanning to keep cool without getting hit in the side by a blast of lightning. What were these four going to teach them? How to avoid getting cutie marks for the longest time possible? How to make it so everypony turns on one beautiful, generous filly and leave her in the dust with just a box for a bed? Or, I don’t know, how to get even the filly’s family to disown her? Their families would never put as much pressure on them as hers did. And at the first sign of trouble they wouldn’t run off and desert them.
Diamond Tiara remembered how smug their faces had been the day they’d come to Canterlot Castle as well. It was just the same horrible faces they were pulling now. A look of smugness she would never forget. They seemed to forget how helpful she had been to them. If it hadn’t been for her taking over Equestria they would have never had got their cutie marks during the season five arc. That was their arc she gave to them, as a present. The arc that she didn’t want to end in her defeat, but plot twists always had to ruin everything, didn’t they? The Princess Sweetie cometh. The Princess Bloom cometh. The Princess Twist cometh. The Princess Scootaloo cometh. The ex-Princess Tiara cryeth in a corner where nopony would ever care to look for her.
Those stupid weapons they’d used for her defeat. Who would have thought a scooter, a home-made birdhouse, a handful of peppermint twists and a stupid song that would get stuck in her head forever and a day could be such a good weapon against a mighty pony like her. She knew that it had to be Silver Spoon’s doing. She knew how much she hated all of those things. She knew how birds scared her, and how much of a phobia of scooters she had since the time her older brother had attempted to jump over her with it and failed, and she knew how she couldn’t help but sing along to catchy songs, and she definitely knew about her serious allergy to peppermints. Oh yes, Spoon knew why she hated the cutie mark crusaders and Twist. She knew, and she’d obviously told.
And now those four were Princesses, along with the other four. Surely that was too many princesses? Surely one would be much better? Or having one being a queen, perhaps? She’d quite happily accept. It wasn’t like she wasn’t going to free the other princesses eventually. She wasn’t a monster of anything.
Her eyes glowed a bright yellow colour as she wandered further back into the alleyway. Well, if they thought she was such a monster, why shouldn’t she escape and reclaim her happier life? She pulled on a black cloak, as her eyes shrunk back inside her head—changing into two yellow dots in black sockets. There was one thing the new princesses should know about having a lot of powers in one pony or minotaur—the power is addictive. Once you’ve felt it, you have to go back.
And Princess Bloom was first on her list. Season six begins.
MY LITTLE PONY. I USED TO WONDER WHAT FRIENDSHIP COULD BE. MY LITTLE PONY. UNTIL YOU ALL SHARED YOUR MAGIC WITH ME.
And all this came from a conversation between me and Calden on my last blog about the finale. Strange? Yes, of course.
You are fantastic!!
But I feel it must continue... I must create!!
