For those of you who read "messing with fire" · 4:35pm May 15th, 2014
Right apart from a slight mishap in the comments section that actually wound up helping out a bit, it's come to my attention that some people think the protagonist... is a mary sue style character. This is not the case but I realize that things might appear that way.
So I'll clear things up for those who actually read this thing.
First things first: Legendary is a title given to wizards in Wizard101 who reached the level 60. It doesn't mean they're literally legendary. If I'd said exalted(reached level 100) I'd concede the point. This also means that he can't use spells that would be above his level unless they're TC or treasure cards
Second: Swiftshadow wings are a purchaseable item in the game for timeframes of 1-day, 7-days, or permanent. To clear things up, no his version is not the permanent one. Course he doesn't remember this so if he's flying when the time-limit is up he's gonna have a painful landing.
Third: Treasure cards. Alright this is one of the breakers but it is somewhat balanced. Treasure cards, in game, are one-use spells that are stronger than their original counterparts. They're given as quest rewards, drops, and purchaseable. They allow wizards to use spells that haven't been/cannot be trained. Of course if it's a rank 8 or higher spell the mastery amulet is needed or the wizard has to be of that school. The protagonist does not have any mastery amulets.
If there are any other things you want cleared up please let me know. At the very least I can confirm I'm not doing any other POV changes. They're a pain in the rear and I can't get characters in... well for lack of a better term character when I'm doing that.
