Re-written first chapter for My Little Poem · 10:58pm May 11th, 2014
As a rare few of you may have known, I have been writing My Little Poem over the course of a year-and-a-half. As I have written it, the story has morphed from something more or less pathetic into something that actually has a modicum of artistic craft behind it. However, the first chapter has always stood out as a sore thumb no matter how much I tried to soldier on and complete the story.
I knew that the first chapter needed to be better. I knew that how the first chapter was, was terrible and created a wall that new readers could rarely scale or climb.
Thus, after a few months of thinking about it, and a day of trying to figure out how to go about it, I finally re-wrote Chapter 1 of My Little Poem. The other chapters remain untouched. I only re-wrote Chapter 1 because I knew that it needed to be re-written, both to be more clear and for the story to flow a little bit better.
Is it perfect? No. Nothing made by any normal human being, including myself, will ever be truly perfect. But at the very least, this is better than what it was before.
Let me know if you like the changes. The original Chapter 1 can be found at this Google Doc link:

I hope this makes the chapter easier to read and understand.
Sincerely,
Mr. Album
I'll definitely take a look tomorrow.
Good to hear that you're alive and I hope that life has been kind on you.
