Wisdom Teeth removed. Now I have the dumb? · 5:36pm Apr 30th, 2014
Soooo.... Ouch.
I just had part of my body forcibly ripped from my jaw bone. I remained awake for the procedure and watched as the qualified individual wrenched and twisted violently trying to free the errant molar from its nest. The tooth shattered into pieces from the force he had to apply to wrest it with his ogre-sized forceps. Unable to free the object of his desire, it was required for him to slice my gums open and drill away a portion of my jaw. "Jesus, you have thick bone!" He muttered as the smoke from the grinding drill danced ethereally upward, illuminated by the medical light posed above my head. Finally, the angelic chorus of a collective relived sigh rung our as the sawbones jerked the enameled fugitive loose and lifted it above his head in triumph.
Unfortunately a true story. I had so much freezing I couldn't feel my right ear (Equal parts amusing and unsettling). In my infinite wisdom I turned down his offer of prescription Tylonal 3's. Now as the freezing wanes, I am filled with no small amount of regret regarding that decision. In an effort to distract myself from the pain of the procedure, I'm writing this disgusting blog post! Sorry if you dont care for it, but I assure you it was quite therapeutic for me!
Hmm...sorry to hear that.
Ouch.
*hugs* That sounds terrible
