FitSCS is now OFFICIALLY on Hiatus · 9:09pm Apr 29th, 2014
Alright, as all that follow the Far is the Star Called Sol knows, it has been sometime since I've updated it. Most of it at the beginning had to do with my life going to hell in a handbasket and probably slipping into a minor bout of depression. This didn't last long, but finally getting a foot into the workforce and catching up on past bills made me unable to much more than pre-read for some stories that took my fancy (most notably Astral Blaze's Changeling & Ponies Saga), and finally finish the reading of the sixth chapter of The God Particle.
The situation has significantly improved since then, but I've realized something as I was reading through it to refresh my memory. While still cohesive, it is an utter mess at the beginning that only barely qualifies for my own standard of writing. As of such, I plan on rewriting the entire thing. Not enough to change what has happened to the later chapters I've published, but streamlining it and making it easier to read. I'll also introduce Princess Astra sooner as well, and I might very well strip entire chapters worth of text out that seems redundant or add other scenes that are necessary. I never did have enough future time development, and this was because I planned on having a trilogy in the beginning. That is no longer the case. I plan on getting this all done in maybe two books if it gets big enough, but I'm shooting for one at the moment. I have also removed entire sections from the future story since they were poorly planned and exicuting them to any degree would be writing suicide. Much of the original story had already been lost to begin with (like for instance, did you know this was originally as self-insert?) and most of the story (even after getting rid of the self-insert nonsense) has since evolved beyond the original plot I was going for.
Also, the way I executed Jason's personality and background is sub-par now to my tastes and much of what I'm changing has to do with him. Most of the the interactions with the cast will remain the same after the mental breakdown. On the same note, I will be increasing the number of scenes including the Royal Sisters--mostly Celestia, as Luna is well represented already--as this will now make a larger difference with the smaller amount of script I'm working with.
For now, I'll be publishing something else while I work on FitSCS in the background. I would greatly appreciate feedback on what is redundant in FitSCS and what you feel should stay. Also, I'm also looking for pre-readers for both of my fics I'm writing. You will have to PM me if you want to know about the other fic--as I want a buffer I never gave myself in Sol--and just comment if you wish to pre-read either.
I thank you all for your patience, I'm sorry for my negligence.
Sincerely,
Omnicron25
