Just thought I'd drop a quick note here.
I ultimately decided to un-publish Chapter 1 and 2 of the story Rise of the Seraphim, because honestly, I feel ashamed for how bad they were.
Bad delivery. Bad exposition blocks. Bad... chapter. Just plain bad. I mean, if "Applejack sitting around thinking about what happened the last six years" does not SCREAM bad exposition to you, I don't know what will. It didn't even make sense that she would. So many things didn't make sense. The delivery for everything was terrible. Just... I wouldn't read that if someone else wrote that. I honestly don't know what I was thinking when I first published that... maybe I was overeager to get a move on with the story?
Anyway, I'm leaving version 2 of the prologue up, but I'm tempted to take that down as well, considering it will look almost nothing like the new version of the prologue. It isn't terrible per se, but it is still poor writing, I find. Keep in mind, the currently uploaded version is NOT the final version.
By the way, it may please the few of you that somehow stumbled into this particular part of fimfiction to know that the new prologue is almost complete (and I really mean it this time). Don't have a team of pre-readers to help me out yet, but hopefully I'll be able to change that. In the meantime, I sent it out to a few people, and hopefully, I'll be getting some feedback and making minor changes on it before final publications.
