So I'm going to rant. Recently I finally broke down and decided to watch the Legend of Korra. It's... okay. Nowhere near the quality that TLA was, but decent enough to get by.
Reason #1 that The Last Airbender was a way better series. The characters: So far I find myself incredibly bored by this new avatar. She's going through, simply put, teen angst. All this romance and heartbreak is making me sick. xP Remember in the first series where they made you work for that shit? Seriously, the romance happened in the last episode of the entire series. Well, the one you actually cared about.Also, I miss Uncle Iroh... yeah that guy was awesome and I have no replacement for him.
Reason #2. The color schemes: This new city is drab, dull, and dreary. The 3 d's. not cool man, the old series just had a way better feel to it.
Reason #3: The humor. Sokka was a pretty hilarious dude. I always found their humour to be wittily stupid, and awfully hilarious. The show was just awesome that way.
Final Reason, Reason #4: Teeeennnn anggstttt! Oh my god that annoys me so much. I feel like they are trying so hard to appeal to a teen girl. Wait no, that's not the reason. I remember now...it's....STEAMPUNK!? There are cars and machinery and shit. You're blowing my mind bro. Blowing it!
Now because I'm a good guy, here's why I do like it. Two reasons.
Amon. As a villain this guy intrigues me. He's evil, but he's suave. In a sense he reminds me a bit of Discord... without the hilarity.
The second reason is the references, graphics, and cool voice acting. I like the chi blockers, the cabbage guy, and other aspects. They keep me watching.
