What could have been added on at the end there was: "I'm going to try and get something on Equestria Daily!"
Admittedly, I hardly use the site. But lots of other people do, and since everyone talks about it, I thought: "Well why not?"
Especially as they have apparently updated their submission rules, and there is no longer a strike system in place, so that's nice.
I decided to submit my most recent story, Reassurance and Inquiries, instead of anything else. The Truth, whilst certainly my most popular story to date, is rather average at the start (and likely later as well :P), and would probably require a "heck ton" of editing and beautifying to make it acceptable for EQD. Much as I love it, I also hate its guts with a passion don't want to be bothered going through it and fixing everything that could be improved. This is where R+I comes in handy, because it was actually proofread and stuff prior to publishing, and I am rather happy with it as a result. Plus, Silent Tortoise thinks its plot is great, so that's a plus. :)
Submitted it the other day and received the automated acknowledgement yesterday, now I wait for the result. Whilst my heart shall not be broken if it doesn't make it, it would be nice if it did.
So yeah, here's hoping and I'll keep you posted.

As I understand, they have a gigantic backlog to go through right now, so I guess it will take a while to get an answer.
