Okay, so one of the people I follow on youtube got tired of the site's bullshit and decided to go to dailymotion instead. Claimed that it's nicer because it doesn't delete PMVs at the rate youtube does nowadays. So I decide that I'll go there too, considering that I have been looking for decent alternatives because youtube is getting worse and worse with each "update" they do.
I go there, take an hour to upload all of my videos... and one by one they get flagged and deleted because of copyright policy 
So okay, most of my videos are Batman the Animated Series videos, maybe the site just hates that series? ... and then my only PMV gets deleted.
... yeah, the site didn't live up to the hype. Back to youtube, I suppose.
Man, I was hopeful for a moment there.
TL;DR: Dailymotion isn't any better than youtube.

Yeah. Well, I kinda did suspect it myself too, but decided to try anyway. I mean, vimeo doesn't seem to delete stuff, at least not mine, but there's nobody there and searching for stuff just sucks. Some other sites are just plain bad to begin with. Some require paid subscription from the get go. ... so yeah, even if youtube sucks it's still sadly the only decent option, so I wasn't terribly surprised at this outcome.
Ever since the Google+ bullshit, I gave up on Youtube forever. I still upload there but not much.
Sorry to hear that Dailymotion sucks just as bad. I had faith in them.

I often wish I could quit youtube and boycott it in hopes of that somehow magically making a difference... but I can't because all the cool videos are there and I don't want to miss them
If only I could find a good video site with a decent population. I mean, even a good video site would be enough, then I could try and get people to go there and populate it. But nope.

1918107 Youtube knows how to reel us back but that's only because they are the only decent site as you've said. Which is why they know, they can do all these shitty updates and such without giving two damns what happens to us in the long run.
