Temporary hiatus due to intense course

I have tried taking it with a positive view, but considering the circumstances, I might have to put writing and drawing away for a few weeks. I didn't think it was going to be so time consuming, but the course is an intense 12-weeks course compressed into 6, and the physical training I haven't done in probably years. My classic "I will run when they come lookin' for me"ideology is taking its

As if I needed more reasons to be a slow writer

I've always had reasons to not write/draw while following a specific schedule. Most of them being:

    -Gaming like a mofo.
    -Exhausted from house chores.
    -Simply not feeling like it.
    -Lack of inspiration.
-Friends come to visit (extremely rare)

Why I seem to be dead around here these days

I've seen a lot of blogs these days commenting about fake suicide notes and stuff like that. Not a pretty sight. I was going through a bit of an ordeal myself, but I didn't feel like bothering anyone around here with it, so I moved forward. Anyway, that's not the point of all this, but it's true that the idea of being called out because of all the ones posting lies for attention really didn't

    I draw (horribly) too!

So, after almost a month full of delays and mishaps, I was able to get my tablet. Suffice to say, I wasn't an outstanding artist before I got this thing, and getting used to it (and learning how to use it) takes time. Ever new drawing shows that I'm slowly adapting to it, but I still was a mediocre artist when I started. For any of you interested, there's actually a comic I'm working on that

Okay, I'm brushing the webs off, though I haven't been idly sitting here doing nothing. Here's what I have so far:

The first sequel to Edda is being worked on, and the first chapter is almost done (finishing a couple scenes AND proofreading it). However, due to a lack of cover art, I'll probably just keep writing the story's chapters until I get the cover art. One of my friends is going to send me a tablet, probably soon, and in case I can't request one, I'll probably do it myself. The tablet will also allow me to start another project; a tumblr comic that I've been working on for a while; mostly working on character development and strips.

Another important matter: I'm aware that "Two Worlds Collide" hasn't been updated for a while, and I want to assure you guys that the story hasn't been abandoned. Let me give some explanations about this:

Two Worlds Collide, as I mentioned, is an AU story where the events of Edda took place several years before it happened. Different characters were used (save for obvious exceptions). This means that Drakkar's kids in this AU fall in the same age range as the colts and fillies from the show. Now, there was an unexpected issue behind the scenes. The original sequel of Edda was going to be the one with the kids and all that. But I really thought that our beloved Megin-gjarð needed some more development (especially considering my plans for him in the future), so this Edda 1.5 is happening now. So what does that have to do with a further updating? Short answer, and quoting from River Song: Spoilers.

Yes, it's an alternate universe, and some things might be different in the original, but some of them are going to happen the same way in both universes. And because the focus in Two Worlds Collide is going to be the relationship development among the kids, some aspects of the world will be given cameo appearances without explanation (because they're assumed to be known). The main example that comes to mind is Gullin. Those who have read Edda automatically remember Gullin as Drakkar's wild boar pet. It's not that much of a big deal and most readers who actually didn't read it might have thought "... what the hell was that?"

So yeah, I'm working on Drengskapr fyrir fjandshestinum right now (Honor for the Enemy, the next book of Edda's saga) and will keep working on it until I'm done. Then I'll move on with the original sequel and whatnot, and depending on what I end up unfolding, Two Worlds Collide will update again.
