Word From the Wind AKA Life Lessons from Blue Breeze: Introduction · 6:54am Mar 5th, 2014
Okay, I'm gonna try something a bit different with these. Something that might be a bit controversial, but something I feel is really necessary to do. Long time viewers of my blogs know I've tried series like movie reviews and OC reviews, but this will be something totally unique for me and something to connect with my(somehow still remaining) audience.
As you may have gathered from the title, this will be a sort of advice blog series where, when the mood strikes me, I'll be giving my views on life and how to handle them, based on my personal experiences. I know some people may heavily disagree with what I have to say, but that comes with the territory of posting online.
In any case, this particular first blog will be about something I went through very recently. I call it "The Bonds that Bend and Break."
We've all had that moment. That moment ourselves and a good friend have a disagreement about something. It could be something small like movies, or something more significant like religious beliefs. Arguments like these can go two ways: the two of you agree to disagree, or it escalates and you begin to grow apart due to resentment.
I've seen friends of my own have the latter occur, and even experienced it first hand. It hurts to see friends separate over something as silly as an argument they couldn't settle. Sometimes viewpoints are too strongly different and the friends can't get past it, or they feel too proud to apologize and never fix it because they feel they need stick to their principles.
Whatever the case may be, always do what you can to keep the friends you have. Whatever differing views you may have, they aren't worth losing someone over. When all is said and done, you'll feel regret for not acting when you could have, and it'll be too late to take it all back. Trust me when I say I know how this feels from experience.
*sigh* Well, that's it for our first venture. Hope you all got something out of this and care to look for more in the future. This is Blue Breeze saying to always let your friends know you care.
See you all next time.
An important lesson to learn.
I echo the sentiments of Theodore Roethke.
