I believed that I would really enjoy writing a fic of Button Mash and Sweetie, it didn't turn out the way I wanted.
In the event of lack of planning, I absentmindedly aimed my story in the direction of a very similar story (not sweetie x button) plot-wise.
I have made a fruitless attempt to fix it and I am not satisfied with the way it is going. There will be no sequel.
As far as I see it, Button ends up waiting for Sweetie while in Trottingham, depression coming over him over the course of time he was in the new city. He eventually moves back and happily ever after and yaddayaddayadda...
I'm really sorry, I just can't continue the story, writing is supposed to be something I can enjoy, but trying to fix my idiocy is killing the story for me.
So I will not be doing a sequel to the story. I will however be writing other stories suuch as one about my OC and his friend (not sure how you will feel about that) and perhaps CMC fics, etc.
Until then, sorry.
Don't worry! You're completely right: you should write because you enjoy it.
For what it's worth, I enjoyed reading your story, and I look forward to any future ones that you post.

I can agree writing is something you should enjoy if you do it.
A tip I have for you in your next story is to figure out how you want it to start and how you want it to end. Then work on what happens in between and you can edit that ending as much as you want. Just don't stray to far from your original idea unless you have a big change in mind or just go "THAT WAS A STUPID IDEA!" It helps me somewhat. I'm.... about 10k words in my second story I'm working on and I have big plans. Planning the ending before you get there helps take stress off because then you just fill in how it came to that ending.
