EFNW Guest Announcement: Georgia Ball and Heather Nuhfer · 5:58pm Feb 18th, 2014
If you’re a fan of the My Little Pony IDW comic book series, then we’ve got a treat for you. Please join us in welcoming Georgia Ball and Heather Nuhfer, who will be attending Everfree Northwest 2014!
Georgia Ball
Georgia Ball is the author of "My Little Pony Micro-Series #8: Princess Celestia" and the Strawberry Shortcake comic book series from Ape Entertainment. Georgia is currently working on IDW's new five-issue mini-series "Littlest Pet Shop" based on the popular Hasbro television show, with the first book scheduled for release in May 2014. She previously collaborated with her husband on the webcomic "Scooter and Ferret," which ran for six years before she was discovered by a publishing editor. Her other comic work includes stories for "Kung-Fu Panda," "Fruit Ninja," and "Scooby Doo, Where Are You?". Georgia is also a mobile web developer for Hipcricket in Seattle, WA.
Heather Nuhfer
Heather Nuhfer is an award-nominated writer of several bestselling comics. She is best known for penning the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic comic book series, which is part of a cultural phenomenon. To date, the series has sold over one million copies for publisher IDW. Her other kid-friendly works include graphic novel adaptations of Monster High, Scooby Doo, and Strawberry Shortcake. Heather broke into the comic book industry by writing the very first Fraggle Rock story produced after Jim Henson’s beloved show left the airwaves. Her story was featured in Archaia and The Jim Henson Company’s Fraggle Rock anthology series, earning her a Harvey Award nomination.
Heather has recently been recruited to write for several adult properties, including The Simpsons and Hawken—a graphic novel prequel to the very successful mech-based, apocalyptic video game of the same name. Her latest project is a comic book adaptation of the popular YA television series The Vampire Diaries. She is also developing several creator-owned projects that she hopes to debut in 2014. When she isn’t writing, Heather is busy crafting. She occasionally knits custom pieces for film and television.
We hope you’re as excited as we are to welcome Georgia and Heather to EFNW. Be on the lookout for more guest announcements in the future!
