The Nightbook
Chapter X ~ The Tower Part II
I've finished writing the first of six scenes that this chapter will have. It'll mostly deal with ageplay and how the others deal with it. This kind of thing is usually rather disturbing for people who are not in any way into it and now comes the part where I need to find the line between 'aww, that's adorable' and 'eww, that's creepy'. It really is one of the more complicated chapters to write.
In other news, more plot is going to happen, like, a lot more. Due to the nature of this new account I might change the ending (again) to make it more light-hearted, but that'll be up to whether or not I can finally make up my mind what kind of story The Nightbook is supposed to be. Until then it's not going to be fun-fun ride. More a sad-fun variety.
Sleepovers And Such
A prompt by Darkentrophy, where Diamond Tiara has to stay over at the Apple Family's place for a while. Added the problem of her being a bedwetter (though I might just go the whole incontinence route, depending on my mood) and shenanigans ensue. I've just started writing it, but aim for a more light-hearted venture in the same vein as Worse Things Have Happened, whether or not I'll succeed with the comedy will be up for your judgement.
The story will tell itself in 8 chapters, 7 of them being 2k-4k long, and one being around 1k, cuz I'm lazy like that. It'll play over the course of one weekend, because doing one night would feel like a tease, that and this time I'll try to focus more on the subject matter. It's like all of my stories until this point had diapers tacked on for the sake of having them tacked on.

Heh, when I originally made the story for Diamond it was a one-shot. You're like COnflicted, taking what I think is a short story idea and stretching it across several chapter's worth of words :P

If I try to do anything short one of the most common critiques is that "it could be expanded upon". By this point it's fair to say that I don't know how to oneshot.
Plus, more chaptahs, moar character development. Because that's what people read this sort of story for. This and barns, everybody loves a good barn.

Anything can be expanded upon. What takes real skill is taking a story idea and compressing it down to where you have everything you need to tell without it feeling barebones. A streamlined, sleek story, if you will.
Until then it's not going to be fun-fun ride. More a sad-fun variety.
But... but.... I don't want Twilight to be sad
