Welcome, passerby! Have a little update blog to let you know what I'm planning. I'll warn, it is a little long…
I tried this once before. It's been a long time since that one, so allow me to update you a little bit.
It's been a long time since I've actually published anything serious. Twilight Sparkle and the 'Darling' Conundrum was fun, but really it was something I wrote while drunk and sleep depraved as I reset my sleeping pattern. It's not really a story at all, rather a few words strung together into something that might make you smile for a second or two, but all too soon the feeling is gone and forgotten. I actually intended to pump out a lot of what I've written in January. Instead, I've done what I always do: start more fics. I have now accumulated far more unfinished projects than I care to even remember off the top of my head. I'm worse than Akumokagetsu—at least he actually publishes his scribbles.
Instead, you guys never actually get to see what I write. I am quite simply the antonym of a prolific author. Hell, I'm not really an author; I'm an editor—I take words and make them better. The thing is that I don't even have a lot to show for that either. The list is on my userpage, but I don't really feel that it sums up the work that I do. That and I'm also editing a few bigger projects which I've not even mentioned. They will come later, of course. I still have surprises up my sleeve.
But enough rambling, I wanted to give you a taste of what I've actually been doing with my time here on Fimfiction, besides stalking threads. I'll start with my early stuff. For the sake of the record, I'll still with oneshots. A lot of my multichapter plans obviously take a lot more time. They have pages and pages of notes still being worked on, so I shall leave these until the time comes when I begin publishing them. For multichapter, though, I like to have more than a few chapters written before publishing, hence why none of those have come out. Finally, if you're curious about the percentages, I base them on how much I feel I've edited and proofread as well as what I've written.
The earliest piece I care to mention is called Dear Diary.
On a particularly rainy day, Spike decides to do some cleaning. However, when he finds Twilight's diary underneath her bed, he discovers that Twilight has been harboring hidden feelings for him. Confronted with the startling realization, Spike is unsure of what to do.
He doesn't want to lose Twilight as a friend; she means everything to him.

What started out as a Spilight shipfic turned into a story about how relationships can erode the trust that comes with friendship. I was inspired to think a little harder about the way Spike and Twilight interact while having a few discussions with Spilight fans. At the moment, I have a vague idea of where it's heading. It's fun to write, but I suspect that this one's going to take a backseat for a while.
The second piece I have is called Hooves.
Rainbow Dash has hooves.
Spike has claws.
Rainbow Dash doesn't like it when ponies touch her hooves.
Spike isn't a pony.

Forgive the mature tag, but this is shameless clop. I noticed a lack of SpikeDash mature fics, so I entertained myself by writing a little. What was a little transformed into a full oneshot and sequel. It included every trope in the book, and was really just a fun little thing to write. It's likely going to be one of the next things I publish when I can finally convince myself to return to writing something that isn't needlessly sad or serious.
The third piece is, of course its sequel, Scales.
Rainbow Dash is angry. She's just been completely humiliated - by a baby dragon, of all creatures.
And she's going to get payback, and nopony is going to stop her...

Yes, I already have part of the sequel written. Don't ask how that happened, but I have a lot more words in it. Again, this is pretty high up on my to-do list, so you can expect to see this soon. If mature isn't your thing, then don't worry; I have others.
I also have a non-mature SpikeDash: Compromise. (Title still under consideration)
Spike is in a relationship with Rainbow Dash. The two spend an evening talking with one another.

This has to be my favorite fic of all time. It's just so fun to write. It was sparked because I recall seeing a comment on a thread that I was stalking that they didn't really get SpikeDash. I'm not one to thrust my shipping preferences in other people's faces, so instead I simply thought about what it is exactly that I like about the ship. After a thirty minute lie down, I had my answer. I spent a lot of time planning this one out—not the actual plot itself, but just snippets of what they say to each other. Trust me when I say that this fic doesn't have anything relevant in it whatsoever; it's all completely based on Rainbow Dash and Spike talking to each other, and that's why I ship them.
This is another I really look forward to publishing.
The next thing I was writing is… strange. It's called A Lady Always Falls With Grace.
Rarity and Rainbow Dash are madly in love.
Or at least, they used to be…

I suppose I don't really preach about my ships a lot, but RariDash is one I enjoy a lot. After writing a thread on the subject of the deterioration of relationships, and after seeing Cynewulf like he was, I began to think of what Rarity and Rainbow Dash would be like several years down the line. They both aspire to greatness, so I could easily imagine that bringing them together. But then I realized that perhaps it could also divide them at the same time. Perhaps after a little while, they realize that they're more in love with their careers than they are with each other. I imagine that could be quite the crushing realization, especially as both of them would be caught up in their careers that they wouldn't even realize just how distant they had become.
The RariDash group have just thrown a competition today. I can see this fic changing a little to fit the criteria, but I don't think I want to do that; for starters, entering contests with cash prizes makes me nervous, but also I kind of feel that I have something meaningful with this fic at the moment. I don't want to change it to somehow relate to "Spring". I want this to be about the struggle that Rainbow Dash and Rarity go through to pull their relationship through, and about how it was all worth it in the end.
The last fic I have to show you all is a very recent one. I started it last week. It's called Sincerity. (Title also subject to change)
Fleur de Lis was born into a wealthy and respected noble family. It is expected of her that she will find a rich noble and unite two families.
So when Fleur meets a quiet stallion at the Grand Galloping Gala, she finds herself strangely interested in this mysterious earth pony.
Anypony at the gala has to be important, right?

That description is also subject to change, actually. Last week I read Bad_Seed's The Order, and I was pretty moved, put lightly. I then immediately went on to read FierceRainbow's entry for the Random Romance January competitor, which was Fleur de Lis and Big Macintosh. That was on January 29th. I rushed to scribble down a plan and write out my fic in two days. It took me an entire day to iron out the plan. I missed the deadline, of course, but I'm not sure I'm actually bothered; this fic is already really interesting. It's based on the whole "Prince meets Pauper" trope, Lady and the Tramp, yada yada. What it allowed me to do, however, was go into a little detail about the way that upper class nobles talk to each other. I think it was actually more fun to write about that than anything else.
The pure white stain of family pride was still ingrained into the essence of Equestria’s upper class; Stallions wore fake moustaches and mares wore fake smiles—both to hide the scowls of jealousy hiding just beneath their flawless exterior.
That really concludes it this time around. Those are the oneshots I am currently working on. There are a few other secret oneshots I'm working on, but they're really super secret until I actually publish them. 
There are also a few multichapters that I'm working on, but I've already realized that these won't be seen until much later in the year. I have exams in late Spring, so I will definitely be focusing on them before biting off more than I can physically fit into my mouth. I did mention in a blog somewhere that I wanted to give up on College. I later regretted my decision and realized that I really shouldn't be so pessimistic. Optimism is most definitely the key to happiness, even if that doesn't always equate to success.
Come June, I hope to publish the first few chapters of one of my multichapters. I'm not sure which one would appeal to the masses more; one of them involves Equestria being destroyed and time travel, while the other involves an OC being shipped with Twilight… take from that what you will. I'm still convinced that these are going to turn out quite interesting indeed.
