"Utter Bullshit and Lies"- an afterword for Unraveling the Tapestry. · 11:23pm Jan 23rd, 2014
A few days ago, I decided to write a story based upon one of my favorite Star Trek episodes... and it got less views than "Royalty." Bummer. Well, I guess for the few people that have read it (and that guy who complained about the story and gave me one of the weirdest looking sentences in the history of weird sentences, for which I named this blog in honor of. Dude, if you are reading this, it's in a joking manner, I don't mean to offend you.) I'm going to give my thoughts on this little tale.
I wrote this because I'm an unoriginal hack I was inspired by watching a review of "Tapestry" on SFDebris. I thought it would make a good story, and I was contemplating on how it would go. I decided I also wanted to poke a little bit of fun at the various accusation fics and fix fics-not that those can't be good- and have Twilight change a bit of A Canterlot Wedding, and it turning out for the worse. Yes, Twilight and Discord discussing the bit about the apology was there because I wanted to say those arguments about who is right and who is wrong during that infamous moment were basically getting out of hand. Why blame Twilight or the others when Chrysalis was, you know, attacking Canterlot. Heck, one fanfic even had Twilight blow up at Applejack WHILE THE CHANGELING QUEEN WAS RIGHT THERE! I kinda think apologies are unnecessary when the entirety of Equestria was at stake. And don't give me "But Twilight shouldn't have forgiven them so easily! It's unrealistic!" Yeah, realism can be fine, then you realize that weddings don't usually have shape-shifting bug things attacking, unless there was something I missed.
And that's basically all I can think about to say without spoiling too much for the aliens that come in 4014 and check this blog before reading the story. Any questions? Any comments? Any concerns, other than calling my opinion lies?

It was a bizarre nickname I came up with in high school, and I thought it would be funny to put up as a username.
