I should be writing software right now, not fan fiction. The grammar rules are so much simpler.

    Science!

    Alright, everypony,

I'm conducting a research project in the field of language processing, and I need data. What kind of data? Well, I need writing samples that include the initial unedited draft, and the final draft after.

No BronyCon for me this year =(

    :fluttershbad:

It bums me out that I'm not going this year. Not because I don't have the time, I should have been able to make it... just that other factors kept me from going.

Stupid money... Costs a bit to get out there and back =(

    Writing time

I'm going to try something different. Work has been consuming my free time but if I budget about an hour every morning after I get up to write I think I can start getting traction on some of the stories I have outstanding. Computer learning and the English language · 12:39am Jan 21st, 2014

I find these two subjects extremely fascinating, so I’m conducting my own little research project that employs computer learning to process documents. At the very least I would like it to enforce static grammar rules, but the real goal is to get it to the point where it can pick up nuances in an author's work and offer more useful suggestions.

The motivation here is my grammer is not great and the tools I use on a daily basis just fail me. So the developer in me says, “Let's fix this!” I have a short story I’ve been working on which will be my test case (or at least will be the seed data for my project). But first I need to get basic word recognition and processing up and running.
